May Square is the main square of the city. She was born in 1580 along with the founding of the city. The square is named after the May Revolution of 1810 and it was here that the independence of Argentina was proclaimed in 1816.
May Square is considered one of the most beautiful not only in America but also in the world. On it are the picturesque Pink Palace, the Cabildo Museum, the building of the National Bank, the Cathedral, and in the center is the May Pyramid.
