The Recoleta Cemetery is located in the district of the same name in the city. It appeared at the beginning of the 19th century. Many prominent Argentine figures are buried here: politicians, scientists, writers, architects, composers. Many tombs are masterpieces of art, they are decorated with all kinds of statues, ornaments and paintings. A special place is occupied by the grave of Argentina's favorite - Evita Peron, wife of President Juan Peron.
