Rozafa Fortress is located in the north-east of Albania, near the city of Shkoder, on a high hill. The first mention of the fortress dates back to the 3rd century. The legend says that the castle is named after the beautiful girl Rozafa, who was immured alive. The fortress was partially destroyed, but several buildings remained inside the defensive walls. Now one of them houses a museum that tells about the history of the fortress.

Symbol of the city of Shkoder in Albania

Interesting place. If you decide to travel from Montenegro to Albania for one day, then I recommend visiting the Rozafa Fortress. From here you can see the whole city of Shkoder.→
