In the center of the square in front of the Sharjah Cultural Center stands a one-of-a-kind monument depicting an unfolded book with a dull shimmering golden Arabic script. This is a monument to the Quran. The height of the monument is 7 meters, two huge pages of the book have a size of 4.2 by 2.4 m. It is decorated with glass mosaics and is located in the center of an octagon surrounded by flowers located on three-level terraces.
