Al-Kasba Canal
Al Qasba, Quasba Canal
UAE, Sharjah
The canal was built during the time of Sultan bin Mohammed al-Kassim (second quarter of the last century).
About 227 thousand tourists and residents of the city visit the canal every year. The authorities of Sharjah understand that this is a unique tourist attraction, and in every possible way support the development of the canal - more and more new entertainment centers are being built along its banks.
The Children's Zone has been built especially for children. Here, children can play with their peers or get acquainted with educational games under the guidance of experienced staff. Each age group has its own program of activities and entertainment.
Lovers can take a canal cruise on an Arabian dhow. It is better to make a trip in the evening, when evening twilight descends on the city and the modern skyscrapers of Sharjah glow with colorful lights.
On the channel twice a day (in the afternoon and in the evening) you can look at the musical fountains. Banks, many cafes and restaurants, a sports and fitness center, and attractions surround the canal on both sides. Here is the "Eye of the Emirates" - the largest Ferris wheel in the region. Recently, the channel has been hosting various exhibitions and festivals, some of which are international in nature.
