Deira is the old part of the city, which consists of narrow streets filled with countless small shops. Unlike Bur Dubai, which is ultra-modern, with high-rise buildings and large shopping centers, the noisy and crowded Deira surprisingly mixes the old and the new. Be sure to visit this area with a local flavor that is so different from the rest of the city of metal and glass.
