Rested in Poland, Zakopane Hotel "Basenka" (Basienka) from 01/01/2012 to 01/10/2012.
Two adults and a 10 year old child. We arrived there without incident, met in Krakow, loaded onto buses and taken to Zakopane. there was almost no snow.
They dropped us off one of the first, on the road, several hundred meters with suitcases walked to the hotel, the bus could not pass through the narrow street. Okay, let's take a walk. But it was hard to go back, when the suitcases were leaving, they were unbearable (gifts / souvenirs) and here we are with these suitcases, stops every 2-3 minutes! Oh, it was terrible! And it was cool when the hotel neighbors (Here are smart people !! ) ordered a taxi from the hotel to the main road, some hundreds of meters, but drove up comfortably.

Well, I’ll continue - we found it, we went in, we settled in. I really liked the hotel, by the way, there are only a couple of reviews about it on the Internet, so I will describe it in detail. The hotel itself consists of two buildings, all beautifully decorated. Large, bright, comfortable room. Large balcony, two beds and a sofa (for a child). Everything is very beautiful!!! ! There is a TV in the room (they did not find Russian channels, and there was no time to look for them), a radio receiver, a kettle with mugs. On the floor there was a large hall with a computer (internet for free! ) a TV with Russian channels, a sofa, next to a room with a fireplace and sofas, where you could smoke. Dining room (on the ground floor) - when we first came tomorrow we were very happily surprised - for breakfast: tea, coffee, hot and cold milk, juice (it seems like instant), some kind of salads, pickles, many types of sausages, cheeses, and even Brie cheese (with white mold), happiness knew no bounds! + even hotter, and every day something new, sometimes pancakes, sometimes scrambled eggs, sometimes scrambled eggs, etc. For lunch (or it was dinner) every day a new menu. The hostess Maria is well done, everything is fast and organized with her. At Christmas, she arranged a holiday for all of us - in the dining room at the end of dinner, the Goral singers performed, then everyone smoothly (together with the singers) moved to the street where there was already a fire, there were benches around it, there were hot sausages, very tasty and local vodka "A la Basenka" something like Limoncella. party until late at night!
The hotel is near Mount Nosal, if you turn right, you can quickly go through the forest to the mountain. very convenient and fast. We practically only rode on this mountain. Skiing for the first time. First, we hired an instructor. An hour of study and we ride on our own.
They came at 10 in the morning, just everything was opening, until 11.30-12 they rode, then people arrived (a lot) and we returned, then we rode in the afternoon or in the late afternoon, when the people subsided. My advice to you - do not buy white jackets - in the dark (even though everything is lit) you can’t see them at all when you rush at speed, you can easily knock someone down, people still like to “walk / take pictures” in the middle of the mountain. )))
Near the hotel there are a couple of small shops, a supermarket, several cafes and cafes, very good, tasty and cheaper than in Krupovki. We ate a couple of times at Krupovki - did not like it.
On the second day we went to Kasprowy Wierch, frightened by the reviews on the Internet, we went somewhere around 10 in the morning, there were no people. On top - Oh, beauty! ! and there is a lot of snow, and it takes your breath away, we walked, took pictures, returned satisfied.
In general, the trip was very pleasant. The hotel is excellent, on the way back, we shared our impressions with other tourists - some of their hotels were not enthusiastic, we were very lucky in this regard. Although it may not come year after year.
