We went to Zakopane for Christmas in our car. We chose the hotel U Anzhey as it was suitable for the money. I really hoped that the rooms would be the same as in the pictures. We drove up to the hotel in the evening, we found it pretty quickly, as we were guided by GPS. The hotel consists of 3 houses-buildings, which are in a checkerboard pattern. The view from the windows was really not the Tatras, but also nothing - neighboring miniature houses in the Goral style, and we had seen enough of the Tatras in the future.
The rooms are small, but this has its advantages, they warm up quickly and keep warm for a long time (we had a balcony open almost all the time). The bathroom is also tiny, but everything is new and works well. Our room was in a building with a cozy cafe where breakfast was served, and maybe for someone it will be a minus that at lunchtime it smelled of food (as for me it’s very tasty, Polish cuisine is generally awesome). The cost of our stay included only breakfast - cutting sausages, cheese, ham, sometimes pate, Hochland cheese, hot buns, pavidlo, honey, and tea or coffee to choose from. Ie breakfast is more like a European buffet. Lunch is already national, Polish: various soups with egg or sausage, potatoes and fried and boiled, diruny, dumplings, goulash, in general, who has enough money for what. By the way, their portions are huge, you can easily take one second for two and eat.
Room cleaning, as such, was not, sheets and towels were not changed. Parking near the hotel was free, by the way, almost all the residents of the hotel were in their cars, but you could always find a place. I would like to note the location of the hotel, it is actually 50 meters from the main street - Krupowki, 5 minutes walk and you are already among the many cafes, souvenir shops and shops, and peace and quiet near the hotel.

We were very glad that we went by car, since Zakopane is a rather large city and it would be stressful to see and drive all the local ski slopes, moving on minibuses. In addition, we also managed to ride along the nearest routes in the area: Small Silence (male ciche) and Bialka Tatranska, this is about 20 km from Zakopane. The slopes in Zakopane and in the suburbs are of excellent quality and service at their best, differ only in the number of lifts and cost. Skis were rented on the mountain itself, it came out for about 70 UAH. per day, but you could take it in the city for the whole vacation, it would be cheaper. On each mountain there were a lot of so-called restaurants. kolyb, you could leave your skis right next to them for at least half a day and go eat, drink and have fun. In addition, in Zakopane there is a water park, skating rinks, and on the mountains all sorts of entertainment such as horseback riding, snowmobiling and ATVs. We had a full 6 days of rest and it was very little. So definitely go and go again.
