As apartments - breakfast is not included.
Stayed for 2 nights.
I wrote some cons below, but in general the apartments are quite ok!
I can recommend.
We came from Warsaw by train. And then they planned to leave for Prague by bus.
Therefore, we were looking for something not far from the train station and the bus station (they are opposite each other in Wroclaw).
So we found these apartments. We booked them through Booking. com. com
The apartments have a refrigerator and microwave.
Some utensils (a couple of cups, a couple of glasses, spoons / forks, etc. )
There is air conditioning (which is important in August).
The first night was very stuffy and humid - the air conditioner was very handy.
The second night (despite a very hot day) was quite chilly.
In general, the weather in Wroclaw changes quite quickly and very differently. Maybe because it's on the water.
I would not call it "Venice", but there are a huge number of canals, bridges, etc.
Our room on the ground floor (#2) had 3 windows, all open but not wide open.
Behind the windows are bars (after all, 1st floor).
The curtains are white, rather transparent.
Booking reviews complained about this, but now, apparently, the problem is solved -
because the windows additionally have blinds (behind the curtains).
There are many lamps in the room. But the switch system is pretty funny.
You can spend some time learning which switch turns on/off what.
The switches at the entrance and next to the bed turn on / off each other, that is, the light turned on at the entrance can be turned off from the bed. Also with other lamps on the ceiling and on the walls.
And I could not understand why the sconce over the bed did not work. It seems that the light bulb is intact, another sconce is working.
It turned out that in addition to the wall switch, the sconce itself has its own switch on itself)))
The bathroom has a shower. There is a mini-shower gel (good fragrance), shampoo in single bags. Disposable soap.
Of the minuses - it seems to be a modern, but rather hemorrhoid mixer in the shower, separate handles for cold and hot water and it is difficult to catch the right temperature and pressure right away. Moreover, the hot water valve rotates in both directions and it is better to adjust the water BEFORE you climb under it, so as not to get scalded inadvertently (! ).
There are some little things that, so to speak, slightly strained.
At first, they forgot to give the password for the Internet (Wi-Fi in the room is free). I was asked if I needed it. I said needed.
The receptionist said ok, I'll give it to you.
And then, while we were discussing where to throw the key when leaving the apartment, we safely forgot about the password.
We arrived Thursday evening and they were waiting for us.
But on Saturday (and apparently on Sunday) there is no one at the reception and the check-out is supposed to be independent.
But in our case, on Saturday, someone checked in and we still had a check-out with the participation of a girl.
We had a bus to Prague in the middle of the Saturday afternoon and left our things in the apartment lobby for a couple of hours.
That is, if someone is at the reception, you can do this.
We paid for the room upon check-in with a credit card. With this, they have no problem.
So, I missed the wifi password when the girl who installed us had already left.
Leaving - left a business card with two numbers, and asked not to be shy, if suddenly something - call them or write SMS 24 hours.
And the business card was from the "Dental spa" salon with the same name Platinum. On the business card there was a photo of three girls in white coats (one of them settled us).
Apparently this is the second business of the apartment owner.
I sent a request to send the Internet password by sms to both numbers, which were designated to me as round-the-clock.
But they never answered me.
(To make sure that the SMS reach, I sent a third similar one to my wife's phone. And she received it)
The next day I was told that they did not receive SMS, but the password was issued without any problems.
I still do not understand why the password information is not in the room itself.
The Internet was sorted out and I went to take a shower.
But it did not work - there was no hot water. Was last night. And in the morning cold water flowed from the hot faucet. And waiting 10 minutes for it to (maybe) drain and get hot didn't solve the problem.
Nevertheless, in the evening - there were no problems with water again.
The next morning everything was ok. That is a one-time problem.
There was also a one-time problem with the Internet. I wanted to connect - there is none (it was late in the evening).
Turned on the TV - no signal either.
(it is logical, most likely they have a TV-Internet-phone as a package)
30 minutes later, both TV and the Internet turned on.
In principle, the shower/internet problems were one-time and not critical.
The room has a telephone. Well, suddenly someone needs it.
There is a kettle in the apartments. But there is no tea.
There are no night shops within walking distance.
There is one store nearby, it seems until 22-00.
A simple cafe on the next street, which the girl from the reception pointed out to us, did not work.
There is nowhere to eat near the apartments - you have to go to the Old Town.
Of the significant disadvantages - transport accessibility.
The railway station is now (in August 2011) being repaired and the exit from it is on the other side - where the bus station is.
If the exit was in the usual direction, then it would be really 5 minutes to go to the apartments.
And so you have to go from the station to the left, under the flyover, again to the left and the first street to the right.
That is, instead of 5 minutes - all 15-20. Things are very uncomfortable.
At the same time, there is no direct transport from the station to the apartments (except for a taxi, I recommend it - inexpensively).
We took a taxi from the apartment to the train station for 10zł.
More precisely, we caught a taxi in the Old City.
From there to the apartments for 10 zlotys, they waited for us, we took our things and for another 10 zlotys to the bus (train) station. Very good!
Theoretically, from the station you can take tram number 9 and drive a couple of stops.
It stops on a street parallel to the hotel.
But without a map of the city it is better not to ride.
And the minus for me personally - there is no washing machine.
We were in Vilnius in City Apartments, for 45 euros.
And there we were spoiled with a washing machine with a dryer (there it was in the basement), an electric stove in the room ... ))).
In Wroclaw, these apartments are no worse in design and comfort, for the same price, but fewer services.
I would like to be able to wash something here, albeit without drying.
Although there is a dryer in the bathroom, it is cold. That is, things certainly dry, but slowly.
Well, there are no cafes near the apartments in the evening.
You either need to buy something in the evening to eat in the morning.
Or move towards the central part of the city.
Walking there is also not close. I won’t explain in text - check with the reception where the stop is and how to get to the Old Town.
From the Station, by the way, you can take a tram and get to the Botanical Garden. Pass through it (very beautiful! ) and through Kirkhi and the island already go to the Town Hall Square.
It would be nice if they left some printed information in the apartment.
Where to go to have breakfast nearby, where is the store, how to get to the train station, to the old town, the password for the Internet again.
So ask - they will tell.
I recommend taking a taxi back from the Old Town - after a whole day of walking, it’s too lazy to stomp back on foot.
And in general, everything is very good!
The bed is comfortable.
The room is pleasant both in design and in colors (white, beige, brown).
Passed on the floor. There is a safe in the closet.
There is a kitchenette, but no tiles - only a microwave.
Everything is clean. Upon check-in, you will be given a map of the city.
They show you how to get to the Old City. What to open and how to use what.
Everyone is pretty friendly.
In general, everything is excellent.
Recommend!
