The hotel was chosen according to the principle: convenient location for trips around the area, its own closed / guarded parking, low price, cleanliness and the availability of triple rooms.
Location and territory of the hotel.
Hotel address: VII Dwó r 7.80-301 Gdansk.
Feels like a suburb - quiet and green. We were by car, so the availability of public transport was not much of a concern. But the receptionist said that there is a tram nearby, the railway station and the center of Gdansk are not far away, Sopot is also 15 minutes away. The hotel has its own parking lot - it closes at night, but during the day the access system - anyone will not stop by. Free. The hotel itself is very interesting in that it looks like and probably is a sports school. It turned out that this is the base of the fencing school. The hotel has a stadium, a sports ground, a large gym inside (for fencing), a gym (we didn’t go) and a sauna (we didn’t go either).
Hotel.
The building itself is spacious, the rooms are also not small (except for our own, we went into a couple of double-spacious ones), there is an elevator.
In addition to the above, the hotel has a kitchen, one for all. The hotel was half empty so we crossed paths in the kitchen with 3-5 people for breakfast. The kitchen has a lot of dishes, a refrigerator, a microwave, a kettle, a stove and tables of 10-12 pieces.
Despite EURO2012 there were very few people in the hotel. There were also athletes (in the mornings they ran and were clearly in shape).
Our number can be seen in the photo, I will not describe. I can only say that in addition to the bedroom itself and the bathroom with this room, there was a rather large corridor (or hallway) of 10 meters, there were only clothes hangers and a pouffe.
As for the Internet, it was there (at least in our room it was only wired) - either the Wi-Fi didn’t finish it, or it simply didn’t exist, I don’t remember already. Is free. There was TV, we didn't watch it ; -)
The reception is round-the-clock, but like our concierges))) The male concierge, knowing that there were not many guests at the hotel, warned that: you can only enter the parking lot until 11 or 12 at night (the gates close at night), you can walk freely. Therefore, for late arrivals, be sure to let us know when you will arrive - regardless of whether it is with or without a car. Since the concierges sleep at night (they have beds in the reception booth), you may not get through)))
Payment and cost.
Our triple room cost 180 zł per day (it's about 480 UAH, 45 euros). Booked on Venus. But it doesn't matter - the prices were the same for all aggregators and only in cash on the day of settlement.
Staff.
Communicated only with the reception staff, they were in shifts. All good-natured, talkative, asked a lot about Ukraine, football, but were surprised that we came to see the castles. They gave a lot of all sorts of magazines about Gdansk, booklets, told about places and discounts. In Polish.
Minuses.
The minuses noticed are wired internet (we are used to Wi-Fi and iPad). Closing parking at night - both plus and minus - because we love to walk at night. There is no restaurant here - either cook in the kitchen, buy in a store or go somewhere in the center - in the vicinity, something has not been noticed restaurants. There doesn't seem to be a big supermarket either. We were prompted by small shops, such as Handicap.
Neighborhood.
This is Gdansk. The city is very worth seeing. This is not my first time here and I just adore this city. I like it more than Vienna, for example. Worth seeing nearby: Sopot (center, they say, beach), Hel Spit, Malbork (castle complex), Kwidzyn (castle), Anger (castle), Grudzenz (castle complex).

Sea. Cold, albeit the middle of summer). The local people are merrily splashing in the water - splashes, children, bananas. Everything is as it should be, but if you go into the water knee-deep, your teeth will hurt. Lovers to temper just right. For several days that we were at sea several times a day, the heat was replaced by a downpour - clouds instantly overtook, everyone was doused with cold rainwater, and after 15 minutes, the sun and heat again. Weird weather
Verdict.
Quite a modest hotel for people with no special requirements for comfort. Everything and everywhere is new, clean, tidy, but all these are simple, ordinary things - furniture, linen, appliances.
Prices are not high, it is possible to cook on your own.
