Favorite Krakow
The first time I came to Krakow was in 1971 and since then I have been trying to go at least once a year or two. I just love this city! I can spend hours wandering its streets, visiting various biennales and festivals. It is especially good to come to Krakow in the summer, when a festival takes place almost every day. for example, at the end of July 2007, we visited four festivals at once in a week - jazz music, modern street avant-garde theater, Jewish music and Catholic choirs. Troupes come from all over the world, many venues are open access - just come to the right place and watch. the very atmosphere of the city has it - very friendly, tolerant, cozy cafes and pastry shops, you can wander through the narrow streets for hours. And how many interesting things! And be sure if you are in Krakow - go to Wieliczka - the oldest salt mines in Europe. Been there three times and every time it was interesting. When I first brought my grown son to Krakow, he also fell in love with this city and now travels there with friends. I can’t say anything about hotels, because I always live with old friends. I advise everyone who has not been yet - include Krakow in the list of must-sees!! !
