Mirage
Well, here we are in the Philippines, after a day of travel.
The reception at the Badian Island hotel is simply magnificent - they are met at the pier with a welcome song and a garland of tropical flowers - super. They brought me to the reception, gave me a fruit cocktail to drink, gave the keys to the rooms - it was getting dark. For some reason, the keys in a 5 * hotel are ordinary and with a huge wooden keychain. They came to the room outwardly, everything seems to be fine, but the air conditioner from the time of the Spanish colonialists and the repair was not done for 25 years, so it was greased in some places, visibility, not repair. I went to the toilet room, take a shower, an open-air bath and filled with flowers - super, however, the tiles on the walls are not laid evenly, the lighting at the mirror is dim, it is problematic to shave or make the ladies make up. I went out to the balcony - a hammock, a sofa, I see a super table again, lay down in a hammock from under the floor, as the external unit of the air conditioner howled and hot air from the cracks in the floor over the body.
You can continue the description of the hotel for a long time, but in order not to take time, I will summarize:
1. The hotel is old and needs a good renovation.
2. Everything in the hotel works to create the appearance of splendor.
3. The main policy is to get the maximum profit with minimal costs.
4. No beach, garbage and hedgehogs in the water - on the shore (as usual) super.
5. Half of the staff consists of interns - you don't have to pay much.
6. There is nothing to choose from for breakfast (in a 2 * hotel it is better).
By nature, I am not a demanding person, but there is something to compare with - I have visited 23 countries in different hotels, but such window dressing is just super!
