Location. Ideal. The heart of Manila is Makati. Near the main shopping malls of the city - Greenbelty, Glorietta, Landmark, SM, Rustans. It takes 15-20 minutes by taxi to Asia Mall. This trip will cost around $3. It takes 5 minutes to get to the airport and costs 1-2 dollars more. Shangrila is within easy reach of everything that the soul desires and the body too - shopping, parks, restaurants, clubs, bars. For every taste and budget, so to speak. The hotel is guarded. All cars are checked by guards with dogs, there are also guards at the entrance, who need to present bags, etc. and cute dogs who are clearly not interested in doing their job. Sori, but I'm a terrible dog person and for half a year in Manila I squeezed all the dogs that I came across.
Building. Spacious hall, live music in the evening, everything is clean and beautiful. The lobby is non-smoking. There is a lounge bar on the third floor where smoking is allowed. For the rest of the territory, no. Smoking is also prohibited near the pool, but no one pays much attention to this. There are shops, a gym, a spa salon. And the main thing that excites tourists of the new generation is WIFI - it is there, it catches perfectly.

Number. The rooms are spacious. Everything you need to eat (photo) in the bathroom there are all the necessary accessories, slippers and a bathrobe are also present. Mini bar is paid. One minus, as for me, but not only here, but also in many hotels or just apartments, is the lack of balconies. I don’t know why it was so conceived, I asked the locals, they somehow just shrugged their shoulders. But - balconies in Manila are rare. Even expensive and elite apartments that are rented out may well be without balconies. It's a pity. Our room was on the 9th floor and the view from the window was wonderful. With a balcony, it would be even more beautiful - just sit and look at the gradually falling asleep city, but alas.
Service. The hotel staff quickly responds to any requests, knowledge of English is excellent for everyone. They strive to help, so if you stand with a lost look in the corridor or lobby, they will definitely come up and offer help.
During our stay (October) everything was already decorated for Christmas. Very nice. Filipinos generally love festivities and holidays in their country, they really are holidays.
