Due to the fact that you meet excellent epithets about Boracay in every review, I will not dilute them with my own for a long time, but I will give a little advice to those who are going there on vacation.
Holidays in Boracay are the best of those that I have experienced in my life, in view of the fact that it is warm, good service and cheap, which promises an unforgettable vacation.
Filipinos are a very polite nation, if you meet a gloomy and stern one, then these are local Muslims. Smiles on every face and involuntarily you get infected and start to smile yourself. Boracay is an island of contrasts, luxurious beaches and hotels, and stepped 3-5 steps inland from them and slums and shacks began, but even there people are good-natured and smiling.
I strongly do not recommend taking a lot of things to the island: firstly, a light plane flies from Manila to Caticlan, on which the luggage limit is 10 kg, and secondly, there is a beach holiday and 2-3 pairs of shorts and T-shirts and one pair of slates is enough for the whole vacation, and even better, buy everything here on the spot. The prices are simply touching, on the local market you can buy everything for 3-5 thousand rubles, this price will include slates, shorts and a swimsuit with a baseball cap and a pareo (sarong) and a sundress with a beach bag and much more. My husband and I dragged a whole suitcase of things that we didn’t need at all, but we paid almost $ 30 for the excess.
The island is small, buy a map and rent a motorbike, it costs 700 pesos for 2 hours (about $ 16), in these two hours we traveled all over the island up and down. There is one main paved road on the island, along which motor rickshaws, motor bikers, small cars move and no one cuts off anyone, no one honks to anyone, everyone is polite, even shed a tear.
On the proposals of local "entertained" to make excursions and boat trips, bargain and drop prices by 30 or even 50%. Massage is best done on the beach with visiting masseuses, one mistress did me for 350 pesos per session ($ 8) throughout the rest. You return home and seeing our dullness and gloomy faces of compatriots, you want to cry and return to Boracay and stay there to live, although it is not cheap, land prices go off scale there, Rublyovka is resting. The price of 1 square meter costs from $700 on the beach and is cheaper in other parts of the island from $200.
Otherwise, everything is cheap, the most expensive cocktail costs about 100 rubles, local beer San Miguel - 35-40 pesos (approx. $ 1).
