The Philippines is a piece of Heaven on Earth!
Traveled to the Philippines in June 2010. We decided on the country right away, we really liked the Tarsiers (tarsiers) who live on about. Bohol. We chose a travel agency for a long time, we all wanted to meet a certain budget. After 1-2 months of searching on the Internet and calls to travel agencies, they found and chose a tour. 3 days on about. Cebu at the Tambuli Beach Club hotel and 7 days at the hotel on about. Boracay La Camerla de Boracay. We flew by Qatari airlines from Domodedovo to Doha (4 hours), then on about. Cebu (10 hours). The service on Qatar Airways is very good. Arrived without problems. On about. Cebu we were met and taken to the hotel. The next day, with a taxi driver (transfer from the company), we agreed to go to about. Bohol. The tour cost about 5 thousand rubles for two. , and if ordered from Moscow, it would cost 6 thousand rubles per person. Do not be afraid and take excursions on the spot. On the day of the tour, we got up, had breakfast at the hotel and took a taxi to the port. We bought tickets and we sailed on a boat on about. Bohol. Swim for about an hour and a half. O. Bohol met us with a tropical downpour. Another taxi driver was already waiting for us and took us to the Loboc River to dine in a floating restaurant. When our ferry moved, we were entertained by local musicians and singing romantic music!! ! Until now, when I remember, goosebumps! So nice and good it was then!! ! Children jumped naked into the water upside down, women washed clothes in the river, and hung them on a rope between palm trees, so when it rained, no one took them off. Funny! Toilet near the river Loboc is surprisingly free and very clean. When we arrived at the chocolate hills, the taxi driver gave us 20 minutes. I must say right away that 20 minutes is very short, especially for photographers, because I really want to take beautiful photographs. After we went, finally, to the tarsiers. We were brought to a small nursery where they live. There were about 7 tarsier, and one of them was a calf. At the entrance to the nursery, on the fence, behind which tarsiers sit on tree branches, it is written that you can not take pictures with a flash and touch with your hands. They are said to not live long in captivity. Most likely, when they die, the locals go into the forest and look for others. I was allowed to take one in my arms. It is very soft, fluffy and smells, surprisingly, of milk, although I just fed it with worms! After looking at the tarsier, buying some souvenirs, we went back to the port to return to about. Cebu. Our taxi driver met us there and took us to the hotel. Advice, buy souvenirs right away, do not put it off until the last moment, then you may not find what you wanted to buy earlier! We spent the next day on the beach at the hotel. Since the hotel has few guests (10 people, if not less), the cuisine for breakfast was either American or Filipino. When we were on the beach, there were no people, it seemed that we were the only ones on this island! The entry into the sea is bad, the algae are nasty, you can prick yourself. We were very sorry, at that moment, that we didn’t have slippers with us, and there they are expensive! But when they swam, they found a beautiful starfish. They took it on hand, the star stuck to it with all its suction cups, but this is not dangerous, they looked at it and let it go back. Another important tip is to buy as many products with more sun protection as possible. I have never seen such a sun. When it was raining, we lay under an umbrella, there was no sun, we didn’t smear ourselves with the product - we got burned! The territory of the Tambuli Beach Club hotel is small, there is a swimming pool, the rooms consist of bungalows, honestly, the rooms are not in very good condition, I would like it to be more modern or at least redecorated! Since the Philippines is a poor country, we should at least rejoice in this! The air conditioner is noisy like a factory, the bathroom is all flaky, you had to stand in slippers. Funny lizards periodically sneak into the room. The difference in time zones with Moscow + 4 hours. We got up at 6 am local time, and Moscow time is 2 am. Periodically there were tropical showers. Sometimes they ended quickly, and sometimes they went for a long time (a few hours at most), but there is nothing to worry about! The next day we left the hotel, while we agreed in advance at the reception about a taxi to the airport (free of charge). The domestic flight was Philippine Airlines. We flew 1 hour from about. Cebu on about. Boracay. ABOUT. Boracay met us with heavy rain, which did not stop for another 5 hours! On the transfer we were taken to the port, from there we sailed on a boat (20 minutes) to the port of Caticlan and another 20 minutes by local transport - jeepney to the hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were given cold juice. Nice! Things left in the room and went for a walk and swim in the rain. Immediately struck by a strong difference in the islands. These are two contrasts! On the island of Boracay, the number of vacationers and sellers on the beach resembles Evpatoria and Gelendzhik. There are a lot of Chinese and Vietnamese (the flight to the Philippines takes them 2 hours). It was funny to watch people of these nationalities who were taking pictures of themselves all the time from all angles and everywhere!! ! The sellers are very accommodating! If you talk to them, they will come up every day and remind you of themselves. Pearls, hats, sunglasses and local fruits are sold on the beach. Advice! Pearls could be bought much cheaper on about. Cebu (they offered a good discount), but we didn’t buy it, because there was another island ahead, where we thought there would be more variety and cheaper. Bargain, haggle and haggle again, it's not just about pearls, it applies to everything! The local food is delicious, however, in my opinion, high-calorie. Ate baked bananas. We really liked them, only they should be eaten warm. Moreover, they are made and sold in a tent where televisions and various equipment are repaired. I advise you to try the local beer San Miguel. Drinking coconut milk! m-mm-m! It costs from 50 to 120 Philippine pesos. 1 peso = 0.7 rubles. Tried the banana shake! The price of food is average. Once we had dinner for 500 rubles, another time for 1000 rubles. for two. It's always been different. The territory of the hotel La Camerla de Boracay is tiny, one swimming pool, a public beach, small with a few umbrellas and sunbeds. There were a lot of people on the beach from our hotel, and no one drove the sellers away, we decided to walk along the beach for about 45 minutes in the direction of a small island with the Virgin Mary, it is even more beautiful there, there are few people, the sellers are driven away. It's a heavenly place! The rest of the time we rested there (at the cafe on the beach there are sun loungers and a security guard). Accordingly, in this cafe ordered cocktails and food. The guard with his formidable appearance showed the sellers that there was no need to go here, and we calmly swam and enjoyed our vacation, not thinking about annoying sellers like flies and about the crowd of vacationers on the beach from our hotel! Plankton lives in the ocean, clinging, periodically, either by the leg or by the arm. A tingling sensation, not very pleasant, but quickly passes. The sand is white-white! Once we rode a boat around the island for 3 hours and snorkeled. The tour cost 4 thousand pesos, and we bargained for 1 thousand for two. Bargain! We decided to go in the morning as it was very hot during the day. She fed the fish with bread. Very rich underwater world. One evening sailed on a yacht, watched the sunset. The water is clear and clean! The Philippines is a very poor country. Women with children beg, offer massages and put pressure on pity. Sadly! We were very sorry that we postponed the purchase of souvenirs until the last day. After a long time with collecting a suitcase, we went to D-mall (many different shops with souvenirs and cafes, there is even an attraction). Located 15 minutes walk along the beach from our hotel. On the Internet, we checked in for flights and went shopping. It was already late, so not everyone had time to buy, but they brought home a local mango to try! On the way home everything went without incident. Everywhere we were met and taken to the right place. The rest passed quickly, I did not want to leave Paradise! The surprising thing is that when we flew back, I decided for myself that I would not return to this island again, I don’t like to be in the same place 2 times. As we arrived, a week passed, I put my thoughts in order and realized that I want to go back there again! On about. Boracay, to the beach where we rested, to this most super place, in my opinion, on this island. Again I want to walk barefoot on the white sand and swim in the Indian Ocean! The entrance to the ocean is excellent, everything is clean and beautiful, there are yachts, palm trees and white sand all around! And, most importantly, we saw those for whom we traveled such a long journey of 15 hours - these are the Tarsiers! We took many beautiful photos!
