Road trip across Europe 2017. Acquaintance with the Keukenhof flower park.
I started my journey from Novorossiysk through Brest, Poland and Germany. I stayed in Duisburg (Germany) with my best friend from the Komsomol.
I left Duisburg towards the famous Keukenhof tulip park. Thanks to my friend in the Komsomol for shelter and warmth in Duisburg. The distance is not great. Drove 240 km. The owner of the apartment from the town of Voorhout wrote to me to come after 17 pm, as she works. There were no adventures along the way. The average speed was 130 kilometers per hour. I constantly had to slow down to 120 km, but it was difficult to keep the car. She apparently fell in love with the roads in Europe. I very modestly drove 140-150 km, but the locals flew past me with a whistle. There were no police, but all three or four lanes were packed with cars. Russians have not yet met on the roads. The town is not big, but here most of them are. The place is beautiful. Solid channels and ducks. Around the field with tulips and flowers, like we have tomatoes in the summer. It's cold in the room. Here it turns out that they have to pay a lot for heating. I slept under two duvets. It was the cheapest and last room in the Keukenhof area. Tourists come here in droves. There are no free rooms left, but there are still very expensive ones. Flower cutting begins. I think that the most convenient time for a trip to tulips is the end of April.
Entrance to the Keukenhof park. I did not know that I would see extraordinary beauty.
This morning, 04/21/2017, I went to the park at 09-15. The parking lot is huge on a green lawn, directly opposite the entrance to the park. I bought tickets for entrance and parking via the Internet back in Novorossiysk. Conveniently. I just couldn't believe that I had come to the park. Right at the entrance, flower beds with tulips and flowers begin. Indescribable beauty. I moved very slowly, stopping near all the flower beds. After four hours, my back refused to hold up straight due to the constant bending over and squatting in front of the flowers. Passed only half of the park, and decided to continue tomorrow. After all, on the advice of one girl, I bought two entrance tickets for two different days, and I did the right thing. It's hard to see everything in a day, unless of course you run. Personally, I have nowhere to rush, and I love flowers very much. The weather is windy + 7+12 degrees Celsius. What is surprising is that there are no pigeons and other birds, only ducks. I took over 600 photos that day. Captured every moment. Tomorrow I'll go to the park again, and then I'll try to get to the flower parade.
