Nieuw Slotania Hotel is a very bright, airy hotel with a very courteous team of professionals. Absolutely every employee of the hotel knows his job and does it excellently. I have never had any complaints about the service. Rooms are cleaned every day and cleaned with high quality. They fed us so deliciously that I definitely gained a couple of kg during my vacation and I don’t regret it.

The photos on the site of the hotel correspond to reality. BUT only for the reception (1st floor). The rest - not so much. Mostly young people live in the hotel, but it seems that the majority sits all day in the hotel and does not go out into the city. The hotel has pros and cons. I'll start with the pros, because.

Mostly young people live in the hotel, but it seems that the majority sits all day in the hotel and does not go out into the city. The hotel has pros and cons. I'll start with the pros, because. there are more cons.
Advantages:
1. The hotel has internet access. Wi-fi (on the 2nd floor above the reception and about 50 m around) and 3 computers connected to the Internet (only 2 worked for us)
2. Good breakfast. The buffet has enough quality products in a normal amount. Not varied, but you can hold out until dinner : )
3. The room is warm, there is air conditioning, you can adjust the heating.
4. There is a tram stop nearby. Those. You don't have to go to transport for a long time.
5. Quiet area, but noisy companies call in on the weekends with the ensuing night screams and noise.
Disadvantages:
1. The hotel is SOOOOOOO far from the center. If you go by tram - it turns out 22-25 stops. Although the trams travel fast and the journey takes about 25 minutes. The tram today costs 2.70 E, round trip means 5.40 E for at least one. If I had known this information, I would have chosen a hotel closer. in terms of money, accommodation in the center, in this hotel + travel to the center costs the same.
2. Of course, the rooms were once renovated - about 5 years ago, but obviously on their own and obviously in haste. The plumbing is leaking, there are constant puddles on the floor in the bathroom. The reception responds to comments, quite lively, typing something in the computer... but everything remains unchanged.
3. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom. Broken and not working. They did not turn to the reception in view of their reaction - it makes no sense.
4. The room is not cleaned at all - this can be seen from the layer of dust under the table and under the bed. They only change towels. but every day : )
5. Mice live in the room. So it's better to hide the products (cheeses, if you buy or something edible) in a safe : ) Fortunately, there are 2 of them in the room, but both are closed and no one knows the code : ).
6. The walls and doors are made of cardboard, so in the middle of the night you are sure to be woken up (more than once) by screams from the corridor.
Outcome:
I think that given the price-quality ratio for the money you can find a better hotel in the center. This hotel can be chosen only if you are not going to the center and sleep very soundly : )
