Malaysia. Our best trip in the world!
Malaysia. Our bestin the worldtrip!
I want to share not just a story about our best trip, but also to share a piece of that kindness and sincerity of the inhabitants of an unusual country. That warmth in the middle of winter, the moisture of a tropical climate and the serenity of an easy trip. That beautiful summer weather that was with us the whole trip. Halfway through our journey, it was clear that we would never forget this trip and would remember those happy few weeks many times over. But all right, let's go back a couple of years. Where did it all begin?
It was a building materials store, and Dasha and I bought oversized corners for repairs and tried to figure out how to drag them home. Near the store there is a vending machine with delicious coffee. Since Dasha doesn’t really like coffee, I poured myself a glass and once again began to admire this drink. The woman who came up to the machine shared my opinion that this coffee might just be the best in the galaxy. Seeing my wife without coffee, she offered to treat Dasha at her own expense. Dasha said she just didn't like coffee. The woman, seeing our oversized corners, suggested that we bring them home in her car and said that she just knows how to place them successfully. On the way, we found out that Olga with her husband and children moved to live in Malaysia, and now she looked at her homeland. It was on that day that Malaysian kindness touched us with its rays and began to beckon us.
Olya strongly advised us to go there for our travels. We promised Olya that we would definitely visit Malaysia as soon as the action falls. In fact, I’ve been Googled Malaysia for three years already, but it’s completely the wrong direction, where, as it turned out, there are shares. I googled the capital. But Turkish launched an action on the islands, the name of which I have never heard at all, even though now they are like family to us. When I found out about promotional tickets to some distant island of Langkawi, at first I was upset that it was so far from the central part of the country. But when I googled what kind of island it was in the evening, I realized that I knew practically nothing about the beauties of Malaysia.
Then there was a non-standard and complicated procedure for buying these tickets. They were not on the official website of the airline, as well as the action itself. We had to look for alternative ways to buy. On such a cool promotion when you click the "Buy" button on the company's website pilot. ya gave me a 500 error.
Tech support for the site strenuously denied this fact. We went to the famous tickets. Yua, who boasts a lot on the banners about the lack of commission. A bank transfer of hryvnia to their Ukrainian office on this site turned out to cost an additional 5000 UAH to the cost of tickets, instead of 4 UAH as usual. In general, the scammer is still the same. How to redeem tickets was another question. They seem to be there, but they also seem to be unavailable for purchase for various reasons. Fortunately, the procedure turned out to be done through the svit office. aero. But due to our fault, we were left without online access to tickets. For some reason, with long-haul tickets, there is often some kind of hemorrhoid when buying. It is clear that this is not the end of the ticket business. Three planes in one chain... what could have gone like this? Turkey switches to other time zones and the time of the second plane shifts significantly. Yes, so that he arrives later than the third flies.
Moreover, the airline did not notice this funny fact and at first convinced me that it was even better. But I know from my own experience that any shift after the purchase of air tickets opens up good opportunities. The company that wrote them to me showed good competence in this matter. And we got a free three-day stopover in the capital - Kuala Lumpur, instead of an hour and a half transfer. It's like a break in flights. This saved us the purchase of two additional tickets. Once the ticketing problems were over, another unforeseen problem began. In the dry season, for which we bought tickets, a powerful typhoon hit far Asia. It was almost a month before the trip. And the typhoon seems to be hovering in Thailand. In parallel, a good incident happened - Thailand canceled the fee for obtaining a visa from Kyiv in a test mode for three months. This way we saved $40 each.
In contrast to this miracle, Singapore decides to fight hard against prostitution and puts forward a requirement with additional documents for girls under the age of 31. The site through which I wanted to get a Singapore visa turned out to be fraudulent. I googled it before starting the payment process. And as it turned out, Singapore really requires a package of documents and very often refuses girls under 31 years old. We were able to apply for a visa through another site, for which there were no complaints on the Internet and, fortunately, the next day the visas were in hand. But the closer to the trip, the more fun. Typhoon continued its movement from Thailand to Indonesia. One problem - between these two countries is Malaysia and Singapore. The day before the departure, there is a lot of news on Google about the evacuation of residents from some regions of the country due to flooding. It was a complete tin.
Even in the headphones, the song “One way ticket” and the song with the phrase “I died in distant lands” constantly fell out at random. At work, in the meantime, no less ass began to happen. In general, flying somewhere was simply critically necessary. I decided the following for myself - well, at least I will see a typhoon and a real flood with my gases. Forward! Our flight is today.
Our vacation did not even begin with a luxurious Turkish plane, but believe it or not, from Boryspil! Mastercard has launched promotions at the airport for holders of certain card levels. Scanners on our map passed us everywhere in priority without queues, on separate tracks. Before takeoff, we had a hearty breakfast with a bunch of sweets in the premium lounge.
Dessert
Moreover, all inclusive also included any alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
But since we are flying Turkish, we must also leave a place for a meal on the plane. Oddly enough, on our short flight to Istanbul, a huge 330th airbus flew in for us. In any case, against his background, all UIA aircraft were midgets. A determined airport worker decided to help the confused Chinese tourists by explaining to them that the plane to Beijing was leaving from the 11th gate. From the surprised faces of the Chinese, it was clear that they were not planning to go to Beijing. And in the meantime, we, overflowing with the positive of the premium hall, almost flew away to cold Istanbul, leaving our jackets on the hangers of the hall. Good thing we didn't get on the plane. There was one problem with this trip. The entire journey will take place relatively on the equator, but the first 13-hour transfer will be in Istanbul in February. As a result, you won’t be able to pack warm clothes by hand, then lugging around at +32 will be stressful, and without them, there’s no way to get through Istanbul either.
Good for our backpacks, they immediately flew to Kuala Lumpur. “Welcome on board Turkish Airlines”. Oooh... yes, away we go!
While the flight attendants were trying to get us drunk on wine, the pilot decided to demonstrate everything beyond the capabilities of a modern vessel. At first I noticed that the speed exceeded 1000 km/h. But the main surprise was when the plane rose to a maximum altitude of 12.500 meters. I don't know what exactly it was, but we flew to Istanbul in less than an hour and a half. Apparently, cutlets with puree were waiting for the pilot at home. Well, of course, Iskander Kebab was waiting for us. So, our first stop on the trip is Istanbul!
