TRANSFER: was individual. And no one was waiting for us. But the truth is, on the other side of Natalie's tour, they quickly called and after 20 minutes we were already being taken to our hotel. Drive 30 minutes.
ACCOMMODATION: we were settled almost instantly. Be prepared for the fact that NOBODY here is bazaar in Russian. But everyone speaks English. The hotel consists of three interconnected buildings. Sea - direct view of the sea or lagoon. Moon and Sun - side view.
ROOM: We had a deluxe room with direct sea view booked.
Therefore, at the reception, I only asked that they give us a lower floor. But, having entered the room, we found ourselves in a deluxe suite with a side sea view. However, in our room there was a huge veranda, and in the More building there were mostly French balconies (20 cm. ) Therefore, we were very pleased and did not swear. The room is not very big, but cozy. We were lucky - the furniture was excellent, the plumbing was beautiful and serviceable. They clean it once a day, and in the evening they go to offer water, towels, etc. The bar was really replenished only when it was completely empty. Take an adapter with you. The reception does not give it. , and in the hotel store it costs $ 4 and breathes its last. By the way, they give three large towels for two. And the rest may not give at all. And we left tips by the way. It was useless to speak. Then I stopped leaving tips with a psycho. And the situation still has not changed in any direction. And I did not understand why there were no slippers and bathrobes in the room.
HOTEL: The hotel is really very beautiful. All photos from the site are true. Very subdued thatched roofs throughout the hotel. The area itself is not big. The swimming pool is multi-level. Near the grill is always crowded, but the upper level is half empty. Animation by the pool all day long. But in the evening in the lobby is rarely boring. Once a week, round tables are set up near the pool, covered with white tablecloths, and they make a scene. Food buffet, and waiters bring alcohol. Well, songs, dances.
But with an 8-hour time difference, we woke up the first days at 4 in the morning, then, though, we slept until 6. And I already wanted to sleep at 21:00. Wi-Fi is free in the hotel. Believe it or not, it takes even on the beach and in the rooms. Not as perfect, of course, as in the lobby, but still takes. People, in principle, as elsewhere ...you crush their lybu and they crush you. Russians were seen here only by two couples and those from America. And so 80% Americans, 10% Japs and 10% who is from where.
The hotel is owned by an American hotel chain. I want to tell you that I have been in many hotels and this one is a solid 5 *. By the way, on excursions we talked with people from other hotels, so everyone unambiguously said that this one is the most beautiful in Cancun.
LOCATION: Normal. By the way, on many sites they write in reviews that immediately opposite the entrance to the hotel is the largest shopping center La Isla. Pure Pizdesh! ! ! Excuse me. It takes 7-10 minutes to get there by bus, but it’s 40 minutes on foot. The nearest shopping center is 20 minutes on foot.
FOOD: so.... the hotel is working on All un. There is a common buffet restaurant. Breakfast is only here. Not much food, but enough variety. We were blown away when at 6:30 in the morning they offered us champagne here. Lunches here are rather poor, but dinners are also varied. Grill is prepared for dinners near the pool: risotto, pork, beef, chicken, seafood, ribs you lick your fingers. We scored some ribs and went to eat on the beach.
Seagulls seemed to have flocked from all around and dutifully waited for bones from our ribs. And they disdained to eat watermelon. And they fought for bones. There is also a snack bar on the left and another cafe on the right. Japanese restaurant, Mexican and Italian. In à la carte restaurants, you can eat whatever you can devour and everything is free. We sometimes left tips if the service was good. This is generally welcome. There is a cafeteria in the lobby. You can take any coffee, tea, ice cream and various buns and cakes. In the lobby bar in the evening, in addition to drinking, there are various snacks in the form of canapes and everyone is given nuts. I don’t drink alcohol, but from what my friend drank, I understood that here I’m free for free drinks not only of local production, but absolutely everything. But for non-drinkers here is also a paradise. I drank a huge amount of soft drinks. cocktails. I recommend the mango and strawberry. By the way, in restaurants there are a couple of dishes on the menu for an additional fee. I do not recommend.
I took lobster. Only the tail is served, and it is already separated, and completely spoiled by all sorts of spices. It is impossible to eat it without a bucket of water. And when I paid for it, I had to go up to the room for my passport and go back to give me change. Note. . in English. I speak quite well, but for 2.5 hours no one could explain to me at all why they didn’t give me change. Of course, this terribly pissed me off, but thank God it was the only unpleasant situation for the entire vacation.
BEACH: the beach is always full of free sunbeds, because people mostly hang around the pool. The sand is white. The Caribbean Sea conquered with its beauty. Very bright and unique color. The waves were constantly, but not huge. It’s even fun to swim not in calm. Well, warm of course. Huge pelicans often flew by.
SHOPPING: right from the hotel there is a bus. stop. The fare is 8.5 pesos. It's less than a dollar.
Buses run approximately every 3-5 minutes. The biggest ones are La Isla (10 min by bus) and Las Americas (30 min by bus). There is a local market Mekado 28. Here we bought all our souvenirs. Tyquila is better to take in Las Americas. It is considered kind of like for locals and the prices are more humane.
EXCURSIONS: Take only one historical tour, because they are all repetitive, only in different places. There are two parks Xxplo and Xcaret. Take it - it's cool. From Coco Bongo we refused, because who was not advised. You have to go back and forth by taxi yourself, and taxis are not very cheap there, by 11 pm. Sit on benches. Two hours some kind of performance, and then the usual disco.
WEATHER: be sure to check before the trip, perhaps on several sites. Because the forecast is fully corrected.
I did not give the hotel 10 points because of the above inconveniences, but it is unlikely that at least one hotel in the world will meet all the requirements.
In general, the hotel is really very good, beautiful, clean and corresponds to 5 *. Therefore, if you go to Cancun, feel free to go to this hotel. You will be satisfied. I recommend it even for the super picky.
And Mexico as a whole is quite an interesting country. The nature here is not the best in the world, but the history is very interesting.
