Only white sand, blue ocean and gorgeous vegetation that nature has created can be attributed to beauty.
There are a lot of cons. We booked a deluxe room (225) with a view of the sunset and all inclusive, as a result, we settled in a room of the category below beach vila at sunrise (311) - these are villas that have no pavilions and a lot of sandbags on the beach to strengthen the coast. (From villa 311, to the left, if there is no coastline facing the ocean, it is all reinforced with sandbags, some have to jump over bears to get to the water). And in response to our requests to overpower us, they rubbed that they do not have a beach villa category, and that this villa is considered deluxe with a sunset view (311). After numerous scandals, we were offered a deluxe suite (206), which overlooks the parking of boats and the smell of sewage on the beach is very audible. We turned down such a great offer and stayed in our 311.
The room has very old furniture, the air conditioner blows directly on the bed and only hot water constantly runs from the taps in the bathroom. It was impossible to sleep at night, it was very hot and parked in the room, and with the air conditioner turned on, which blows on the bed, they somehow did not dare to sleep. It was hell. And at the end of our "paradise" vacation, we knocked out with numerous scandals for 2 nights a deluxe villa with a pool (280), the location of the villa was not very good, but considering that there was a pool and a gazebo and the villa was blown by the breeze, it was accordingly better and at night it was possible sleep.
As for nutrition. We checked into the hotel around 22.30. The room is already on the table packed on plates of salad and sandwich. When we asked where we can have dinner, we were told that it is possible only for an additional fee. And again I had to prove for about an hour that the flight was delayed and we had everything inclusive and we really want to eat (since we only had food on the UIA plane and the food was terrible (pasta with tomato sauce), tea, coffee, juices were paid)). After the scandal, we were allowed to choose dinner for free from the menu and take two bottles of wine from the bar (which are paid), which was included in the bill at the end, also had to be defended. Breakfast is very poor, I have not seen such breakfasts in any hotel. Other than oatmeal, scrambled eggs, yogurt and a croissant with nutritious food, there is no normal food. For dinner the first day we went to an ordinary restaurant and were shocked even more - you could choose steamed fish or chicken and that's it. The kids didn't choose anything at all.
In the following days, for lunch and dinner, we went to grill, Italian, Vietnamese and French restaurants (works only for dinner). Booking restaurants for dinner was also a big problem. Entries to the restaurant were simply knocked out, to our requests to write to a restaurant (French, Italian, grill) we constantly heard the answer “already taken, go to the regular one”. And again, after the scandals, we were recorded for dinner at 21-00. The most delicious food in French is scallops, shrimp, duck, veal. The children's menu in all restaurants is similar. In the Italian restaurant - pizza, salmon, chicken pate with croutons. In the grill - shrimp, salmon, veal. In Vietnamese - shrimp, cashew chicken, lamb. In these restaurants the food is more or less tasty.
Entertainment is kayaking, shark feeding. The house reef is very poor. There are few fish.
The day before departure, they asked for a bill, and were shocked. Our bill included:
1. Two bottles of wine (which they said would be free on the first day) - $86.
2. Four mango fresh, which we did not order - $ 46.
3. And the most interesting - mosquito spray - $22.
And again you begin to prove for a long time that you did not use it. In the end, the next day it was all removed from the account. The policy of the hotel is to deceive the tourist. If we asked for a bill for 20 min. before departure, we would not have had time to prove it all, and we had to pay and run to the seaplane.
This is not my first time in the Maldives, but earlier they got to the island by boat, so there was no such delight.
The next pleasant surprise was that while we were relaxing in the lounge, waiting for the domestic flight, we were already issued and immediately escorted to the room upon arrival. I won’t write about their pleasant meetings for a long time, I’ll just say that it’s very pleasant and immediately sets you up for relaxation. And of course the most pleasant thing was that we changed the room to a deluxe pool villa. This is done only for newlyweds, but the director of our travel agency wrote to someone and voila) there was no limit to our delight))))) A huge villa with a bathtub and a rain shower in the courtyard, its own pool, gazebo and access to the beach!
The hotel has several restaurants, so we only booked breakfast. This is what our manager Olga advised and it really turned out to be more profitable. And most importantly, you are not tied to one main restaurant. Because most of all we had dinner in Italian, although French is very tasty, but the portions are small in my opinion. There are amazing sunsets in the grill, but in general we went to everything and everywhere it was delicious. The average check for dinner is 200 - 300 dollars, a little expensive considering that we do not drink strong alcohol, but only a glass of wine or beer. But this is the Maldives, baby)) The hotel has a lot of Russian-speaking staff, Nastya helped us with everything. Not a single request was left without attention, this is the general impression of the work of the staff at this hotel: you feel like a VIP person in everything.
Special attention to the spa hotel. We took a package of procedures and every day we enjoyed ourselves in the capable hands of specialists, by the way, we dined there with light wonderful salads.
We did not go on excursions, only to the reef, my husband wanted more fish) Although, in my opinion, there are plenty of living creatures near the hotel reef. In the evening, after dinner, we either walked or had fun in the bar, several times there was even a disco.
In December 2015, we bought Aeroflot tickets for August 2016, then the trip was postponed to November.
Type of holiday: Honeymoon from 2.11 to 10.11. 2016
Meals: breakfast only
Villa: 219
The hotel was purchased with a flight
Unfortunately, a regular and direct flight did not save us from a delay, having already loaded the plane into the floor, the result was a board replacement and a 3-hour wait.
Upon arrival in Male, we were met by a local with a sign The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, escorted to registration for a seaplane. There we checked in our luggage and took the bus to a separate waiting area of the hotel. (5min from the airport). After 40 minutes we were put on a seaplane, fly 50 minutes, made 1 stop.
Upon arrival in Ira, a butler meets him, takes him to the villa on a golf cart, we had a regular one booked, we were upgraded to a villa with a gazebo on the beach, a trifle but nice.
The room is decorated, champagne and fruit.
They take a deposit of $2000 for 7 nights.
The villa is a separate ode to praise: a huge area, everything is thought out, not new but clean. The outdoor bathroom is pure bliss. Everything is beautiful, the cleaning is of high quality, there are adapters and mosquito repellents.
This place is noisy, as planes land, I would advise villas on the other side of the island. BUT! There is a very good entrance to the sea and less people. Literally a day later, the planes stopped straining.
The island itself is very green, all the paths are illuminated, in the evening there is where to take a walk. In the evenings, near the reception in the bar, animation is something like live music, then some kind of dancing. For children there are many entertainments: kids club, tennis, billiards, archery, water activities.
It was a little annoying that Butler somehow disappeared, there was no special participation at all, they went to the reception to ask something.
After 3 days, the butler was changed to us, there was a great guy who came a couple of times a day to find out how things were going, what was needed, and reported everything. once they turned to Selma to ask for details.
The breakfasts are sufficient, everything is there, not the Dominican Republic of course, but men will also find something to eat. Smoothies, fruits, pastries in a huge assortment.
Restaurants must be booked 1-2 days in advance, as the most popular Trio and Grill are full.
The average dinner we had was $150-200, the most expensive was $400. It was lobster day, but we don't drink much, a glass of wine. The seafood cuisine is excellent, but everything else is somehow mediocre, I would like it to be more decent for the money. The choice is small, each restaurant has a menu of a couple of pages. (Remarque, we love to eat delicious food, so we are spoiled by Moscow restaurants, so a little disappointment)
In the afternoon we went to the pool, ate fruit, pizza, drank cocktails. Lunch on average $50-60.
We did not go on excursions, we enjoyed the sun and each other.
We swam a lot, and generally just rested.
This is one of those places that matches 200% the presentation and pictures!
Everything, down to the smallest detail, resembles paradise, no matter how trite it may sound. To me, as a person not tempted by the islands, everything seemed simply magical. The color of the water, smoothly turning into the horizon. The unique beauty of sunsets and sunrises. And what a lunar path, beyond words. Came across Iru Fushi by accident. We were planning to go to the Caribbean this year.
When we first went to the Maldives, acquaintances frightened us with the lack of adequate food. This is a blatant lie! There is plenty of food here. Any, for every taste and color. There are several restaurants from almost all over the world. All are completely different, and fully correspond to their national cuisine. In Italian they prepared amazing balognese pasta. French pleased with good wines. Excellent chicken curry in Indian. In the main restaurant we were fed simply gorgeous breakfasts.
Despite the fact that all the products on the island are imported, the quality and freshness were at the highest level. And of course awesome seafood, where without any natives on the islands then). Delicious sushi and rolls in Vietnamese, and their unique soups.
We lived in a deluxe villa with a private pool and jacuzzi. I think it's not worth talking about the arrangement of the room and the quality of cleaning. The room is furnished in such a way that you can live in it for weeks. A cozy gazebo with a bunch of pillows of various sizes was built in the courtyard.
There are exactly five steps to the water. Sometimes they just lay on the sand so as not to disturb the harmony with nature. The sand is white, almost cold. For the first time in my life, I got into snorkeling. The water beckoned to itself. The island is quite large, there is even the opportunity to ride bicycles. There is where to walk and get lost, although it is not difficult at all. With a large number of people, you can not see them for the whole day.
It turned out to be such a personal paradise. In conclusion, I can only say one thing - we will definitely come here! ! !
A bit dark in the evening before entering the room. Poor lighting in the bathroom. The air conditioner blows directly on the bed. Several times we encountered the problem of electronic keys - they did not work, but this issue was quickly resolved. WiFi does not work in restaurants. There was no hair dryer in the room. Renovation. works are going on in the entrance. group to the SPA. Saunas are outdated - in need of repair.
I want to say, first of all, that those "unique" who managed to return from the Hilton dissatisfied with something, apparently, were either still not healthy or did not have time to acclimatize) You really need to be out of your mind to find at least something, what is there to complain about!
And now to the point))
The hotel is simply the best and believe me: I have something to compare with, since I am an avid traveler and I approach the choice of hotels and destinations as a "bore". The hotel may have been built a few years ago, but it is very tidy, comfortable and outperforms many of the newer hotels in the Maldives with its spaciousness and scope.
My husband and I had a deluxe HIV villa, and when ordering a tour, I expressed a desire to live on the part of the island opposite from water sports and from the place where hydroplanes arrived. In general, I recommend taking this nuance into account, since here the ocean is cleaner and the reefs are much richer. We saw a huge turtle, and reef sharks, and octopuses. I’m not even talking about the many fantastic colors and varieties of fish.
Beach villa is a dream. I will say that you can live in only one bathroom, it is so large and comfortable that you don’t want to leave it. Two showers - open and closed, jacuzzi, gazebo and a lot of sundries. The room itself is great too. By the way, the big question is where to live better: in a water villa or in a beach villa... We lived both there and there the first part of the holiday - in a beach villa, a few days - in a water villa, and in the end - again our beach villa. The water villa is great, we took the most inland villa. The most important advantage is the villa is almost in the open ocean. But the water villa is simpler in terms of design, of course. In the end, when we returned from the water villa, we were satisfied, as we returned to even greater comfort.
The staff is very attentive and sincere. When I lost my ring, it was returned to me 10 minutes later. All our requests were fulfilled at the first call, I didn’t see a sour expression on anyone’s face and didn’t notice big delays in fulfilling requests either.
The weather in September is excellent: there are very hot days, and there are cloudy days - in order to have time to rest from the scorching sun.
In a word, I do not regret choosing this particular hotel at all, and ask me again: where would I go - I would certainly choose the Hilton! A paradise island with a heavenly atmosphere of complete relaxation, excellent attitude towards tourists !!! ! And do not believe the tantrums of people who go not to rest, but to look for flaws where they simply cannot be!
I will definitely return to the Maldives, because nowhere else did an island vacation give me such pleasure and great sadness of parting with such a tiny piece of land in the colorful and friendly Indian Ocean.
