After reading the positive reviews, we decided to go here. Arrived April 18th. Settled in Rio Palace (transfer from Male to the island by plane for 30-40 minutes and then 10-15 minutes by boat again). Everything is beautiful, friendly, as it seemed at first glance.
Rooms on the first floor, room 155 and our relatives 154. Accordingly, different sides of the island. On the even side of the rooms, the entrance to the water is rather poor, covered in corals and it is always windy there. On the odd - perfect, both for us.
The food during our stay was excellent, just a lot. In the last 2 days, part of the kitchen was closed and somehow it became very tight with food. Everyone complained that there was nothing to eat.

We didn’t have time to enjoy the impressions, when on the 3rd day of our stay I woke up in the morning with some bites on my body, we didn’t immediately assume something bad, because. there are a lot of things in the first-aid kit, I thought it would pass... on the trail. day these bites were all over the back, elbows, front of the thighs. I decided to go to the doctor, he looked and immediately gave out an allergy... but... I drank an anti-allergic and applied the same ointment. It does not pass, but the bites are only added and the bites are like paths. And then I find crawling bugs in the room, in the buttons of a landline phone, I shoot them on the phone. I move the bed, and there are crowds of them. And finding it on the internet, I understand that these are bedbugs !! ! Linen bugs!! ! In a 5 star hotel!!!
I went back to the doctor and showed the video, he confirms that these are bed bugs. And we, in shock, indignantly, go to the reception... and then it began: supposedly such a "dear Assel" turned into a lady with ambition, a cat. had to be put in place. The hotel manager ran to the doctor and forbade us to prescribe anything and confirm it in writing. We demanded relocation and compensation for a spoiled vacation (during this period, our husband’s DR had a wedding anniversary and a vacation in the Spa was covered with a copper basin, because with such a body it was impossible to go to the Spa).
They agreed to relocate, only upon signing a paper that I have no claims against the hotel. In general, do not describe the whole situation, the cat. there happened!! ! Indifference, concealment, intimidation of the doctor. And yes, I forgot to point out, on the 2nd day of our stay, wireless headphones from Samsung ($ 200) were stolen from us - a call to the reception did not give anything, the headphones were not found.
Impressions of the rest in this hotel were terrible! Definitely won't come back here and won't recommend to anyone. Returning home, I went to a dermatologist and he confirmed that I had bed bug bites. Therefore, think 1000 times, you need to go here and ruin all 10 days for your own money, because. no one will want to solve your problem in this hotel! And they will make fools out of you! The hotel is a year old, and it has already begun with the development of the wrong aspects of its activities!
