We rested at the 5 * Kihaa Maldives hotel, when we were choosing options, we had two main requirements for the hotel: to have a good reef and good food, and, well, value for money. The managers at ICS did not quite cope with the selection of the hotel, they advised us Kihaa Maldives as an excellent hotel that suits our request.
We regretted this a hundred times, but I will tell you about the hotel in detail later.
Flight: direct flights turned out to be expensive, travel agencies do not have charters, we were persuaded to fly with Qatar Airways with a connection in Doha, they promised that a short 3-hour connection would not tire us much... It's creepy to fly like that! In addition, we also chose a hotel that would be reached by an internal flight and then sailed on a boat. So consider, first from Moscow to Doha, then from Doha to Male, then another plane flies for 20 minutes to the domestic airport on one of the islands of the Maldives, and from there it takes another 10-15 minutes to sail on a boat to the hotel itself. We arrived at the hotel after sunset and literally fell off our feet. Good thing we made it to dinner. The room was already seen normally only in the morning)). I’m generally silent about the way back, there was an early departure, and all these transfers / flights, my tongue on my shoulder also came home.
So, about the hotel: quite good 5 *, if we talk about rooms, territory, etc. , a good level, the island itself, on which the hotel is located, is quite large and very green. Our room was a lagoon prestige beach villa, it stands on the first line, a separate exit to the beach. The villa is spacious, a huge four-poster bed, a table and chairs, two huge wardrobes, there is an additional sofa, apparently for couples with children. Bathroom as usual in the open air, two showers, two sinks, bath, bidet. There is a safe and mini bar in the room. On the beach side, there is a spacious veranda with a sofa and a table overlooking the ocean. On the veranda there is a foot shower to wash the sand off the beach. Sun loungers and umbrellas in front of the houses. In principle, all amenities are available. We really liked the room, beautiful, cozy and stands in the shade of palm trees - it was comfortable in it. The houses are located, as it were, in two rows, one on the first line, others, as it were, a little behind them, as if the second line, we lived on the first line.
The biggest minus of the hotel is the food! We took all inclusive. Just a nightmare! Of course, there is a variety, but the quality... all the pastries are somehow not fresh, the rolls seem to be yesterday, stale. The meat was often tough, it was impossible to chew. Salads are only greens, leaves, as if there were not enough vegetables. There was little fruit if you come to dinner later - they simply don’t get it, fruits were more often just canned, or something like a fruit salad, that is, all the leftovers were cut. Fish is always only one kind. Grilled fish, for example, we never waited for 10 days of stay. The breakfasts were pleasing - there were muesli, cereals with milk, delicious porridge. Quite decent coffee. Yogurt NO! For me it was just stress.
Cocktails at the pool bar are made by girls - bartenders. Either it's just not their forte, or they don't know how at all, but alcoholic cocktails are disgusting, each time they had to control the cooking process, ask them not to pour rum into Mojito, and mix everything thoroughly. Non-alcoholic cocktails, by the way, are surprisingly tasty))
As for the reef (this was our second main requirement for the hotel) - the reef is really good, but not big, a lot of fish, huge jellyfish, stingrays have been seen many times. The turtle was once "caught" in the camera. A huge plus of the hotel - there is a biosphere reserve nearby, Manta rays are found there, excursions to the reserve are made from the hotel. We went, saw three stingrays, the impressions are of course amazing, they are so huge that it takes your breath away! But one note: it's better to take a wetsuit in the diving center of the hotel, because it takes a long time to swim, the rays do not swim right away, we even froze in the water for so long. And the skin can burn in open areas of the body, no matter how you smear with cream.
Every evening in the hotel from the pier they feed marine life, small sharks swim up, a bunch of stingrays, as if tame, turtles are not uncommon guests, they sail for a treat. Great attraction!
In general, of course, I can’t call the rest 100% successful this time, because the jamb came out with food. The food is just a disappointment, although the hotel liked it. I want to add right away that we are not very picky, but other tourists rested with us at the hotel, we talked with them and asked for their opinion - many were not satisfied with the food.

Fantastic nature and terrible service! We are shocked. Now we are resting here with the children. We spent the first night in a room with huge red ants. The next day we were moved to an even worse room with broken door handles and a broken TV. On the third day we were moved to another room with huge cockroaches! In four days we changed 4 rooms.

Today we were already moved to the fourth room, we are waiting for the cockroaches to be taken out. Management is terrible, requests are ignored. The hotel is a maximum of 3 stars. We do not recommend staying here : (

This is my second time in Bata Atoll. The first was the nearby Royal. Now Kihaa Been here a few days now and already have something to say. Okay here. After the luxury of islands like One&Only and Laamu, it is definitely calmer here. Especially in our time of crisis. From the island of Dharavandhoo, where they recently built an airport for landing twin-engine DASH-300 aircraft, there is a very roomy Doni, a local boat that is also used for fishing and diving.

Been here a few days now and already have something to say.
Walk from the airport to the island 10 minutes.
The beaches here are insanely beautiful. They are probably one of the most beautiful in the Maldives. White sand is almost everywhere.
The food on the island is very extensive. In any case, given that it is here for everyone three times a day, the dishes must be repeated. Them from the belly!
Several types of cheese. Fruit is cut right in front of the nose. Here they cook meat and fish, a lot of sweets. Food. Four delicious varieties of ice cream are especially traumatic for the soul.
You have to eat it twice a day.
A special word for salads. Everything is absolutely fresh. I don’t want to take it, and God forbid that all this fits.
I was pleased with the table of Chinese food.
There is another restaurant for private dinners. Everything is open until 22:00.
Yes, we still have the Chinese, but unlike the very rich Chinese, ours behave more modestly and noisily with tactlessness, like theirs oligarchs from other islands. They behave modestly and inconspicuously, which is a surprise to me.
On Sunday evening, a disco on the sand is organized on the beach by the pool, which I specifically missed on other islands. Held from 8:00 a. m. to 10:00 p. m.
Large spacious reception obliges. There is also a cybercafe, which someone probably still needs today, and a shop for small necessities and souvenirs.
Cool, but at one end of the island is the mansion of the Maltese owner of the island, who wished to build a house with 19 bedrooms.
That's exactly how it should be.
This building is one of the most beautiful on the island and was originally mistaken for a spa. Everything is very good there.
But the SPA just stands separately on stilts and I didn’t get there. Although the prices there are very attractive and you can massage without creaking your wallet. Treatment in the SPA costs around 70 Baku.
There is activity on the island in the evening. I counted as many as 2 bars. And there are always a lot of Germans and Czechs.
There are still Russians on the skeleton. And for the last five years I have met them extremely rarely, but Putin probably hasn’t brought everyone to the handle yet. They are and it's great.
A separate building is a gym with a bunch of rocking chairs and there are two squash courts under the roof. Two table tennis. There are also two large tennis courts to kick the ball.
The diving center is a separate swan song. It is being extensively rebuilt by New Zealand owner Mark, fitting it to the standards of a serious five-star.
Equipment of the Italian company Cressy.
Three compressors including nitrox.
There is also a watersport opposite, two Yamal jet skis and a curious House reef with a cloud of tuna that walks in a flock. The peace-loving nanny shark is constantly sleeping here.
All this living creatures are actively fed at 1.00 am and stingrays swim up.
Diving here is not just good. Opposite is the Hanifaru Biosphere Reserve, where in the summer there are a lot of manta rays and they can be found almost everywhere.
Today, for example, there were six of them and they all hung out with us for 40 minutes.
Sharks have been gone from Baa for a long time, but thanks to the President's conservation program, they have returned home after a ten-year absence.
And in general - Baa is one of the main diving atolls in this country
It should be recalled that the instructor here is Belarusian! With 15 years of experience in these parts.
You must definitely go to this island with your snorkels, masks and fins, more than a day of rent will cost under $ 15 per nose.
Information about excursions on the island
- dolphin cruise $70
- Evening fishing $75
- romantic sunset cruise on a local dhoni boat 200 for two and every third extra - 75
- jet skiing is perhaps the most inexpensive of the pleasures to go around the island -65 (for two! )
A nice cozy island, after reconstruction with the Maldivian management, which is especially important that at least from here the money does not migrate abroad to hotel chains from all over the world, but remains in the country.
Little is known about this island to our tourist, since it is still not particularly visible in advertisements.

I will not bore people, about how they flew, I will write right away specifically, for people who want to settle for vacation5 in the kihaad Maldives hotel 5 * This hotel is not worth that kind of money. When I was going to the Maldives, I chose for a long time, but I liked this hotel. It seems to be another special offer. But there were practically no reviews from Russian. We decided to take a chance. Another feature of this hotel is all inclusive. I’ll make a reservation right away with the food, not really, but you can eat, though especially for dinner sometimes a sour salad, or a cake made with expired butter, which you won’t eat. The chefs cooked meat and fish on the grill very tasty. And so for squeezed juices (fresh) $ 10. In general, about food, you can say 4. This is where the fairy tale ends and reality begins. We chose the villa prestige, with access to the sea. It seems that the villa itself is not bad, it’s big, there is a sofa and chairs on the veranda, though we didn’t have a gazebo, but honestly it’s like surplus, we didn’t suffer without it. Everything seemed to be fine in the bathroom, everything worked two showers, a large bathroom, two washbasins, but there were no toiletries, no soap, no shampoos, it’s good that I bring everything with me. , and a special highlight in the bathroom - the ants are big, they are everywhere and on the toilet, on the washbasin, on the floor of the heap, especially in the evening. Of course, I understand that specificity is such sand, they climb dampness, but it’s not pleasant, not big lizards climb on the ceiling in the villa itself, though I’m not afraid, but it’s not pleasant, especially at night, someone will snoop around you under the veranda lives a huge rat . It was repeatedly said to the service personnel that they would sprinkle the mink with their foot and that's it. Now about the island itself and the sea. The island is designed in such a way that all the owners of the building are concentrated in the middle of it, and they dispose of garbage there (they burn it all day, constantly smoke and boxes and plastic bottles and all rubbish) in the evening, going to dinner, I had to go through this stench from rotting waste, such that appetite sold it right away. In the morning from 6 in the morning they began to cut and knock, that is, you are not guaranteed that silence. The other side of the island is quieter. But we still breathe industrial waste. They care about the environment, not the tourists. There are many Russians, but mostly Chinese. True, they are not so noisy here. . , but they love to devour very much, they don’t seem to be fat, but they eat as if they are being starved. . The sea itself is very warm and beautiful, but there are a lot of dead carals near the coast, you don’t swim much, you have to wallow between them, otherwise you can even catch your belly. Bathing shoes are a must. of course the color of the emerald sea white sand is very beautiful. But I won't go back to this hotel. We lived in room 212 and somewhere along 230 the sump of all outbuildings is in our side, and then more or less. I have never written reviews about hotels, although my husband and I have traveled to quite a few countries, but now I understand that PEOPLE SHOULD BE A LITTLE ORIENTED BY THIS HOTEL SHOULD WRITE. Maybe you can get something useful from this review. His most normal stardom is 3+, well, with a load of 4 and that's it. It's absolutely not worth the money. It's my opinion. Therefore, when choosing hotels in the Maldives, be very thorough, so that being hereditary was not spoiled by the rest, because you can’t go anywhere around the water, and the transport is very expensive to go to the milky one.
