The first point is a volcano. It turned out that it would be more correct to call this object “volcanic crater”. It is very strange, but over the antiquity of the years, the mountain has practically disappeared and is invisible, but the crater is like new! Only overgrown with completely tropical forest, and from this it only got better. At the bottom is a pond. Quite beautiful and picturesque. It’s a pity that they don’t let you down, they say that the slopes are very steep. And views from above from only two points - the observation deck and slightly to the left of it, if you walk in a circle.

Second stop - Ganga Talao - Grand Bassin complex of religious buildings (Hinduism). Not quite what I expected (for the better). A very picturesque lake with an island in the middle and everything is framed by a tropical forest. Religious buildings (and there are many of them) are successfully integrated into the landscape, and the views are not spoiled. He climbed a mountain with a "temple" to the monkey god. Great views from above. The atmosphere is soothing and unsettling. Due to the low-frequency sounds of constant gong-like strikes. They have this memorial to honor their dead ancestors. But over a long time it can start to tire.

The third stop is Alexandra Falls Viewpoint Alexandra Falls. Great place, I love it!

The beauty is not in the waterfalls, they are actually extremely tiny, you don’t notice them right away. Just a very beautiful landscape - a failure with a further canyon, a tropical forest along the edges and below, and on the slopes too.

The approach to the site itself is also picturesque. Also, on my way back to the car, across the bridge, I noticed a trail. And of course he followed her. It turned out that this route is one and a half kilometers long, a dead end, that is, then the same amount of time to go back. I didn’t have that much time, and I walked 500 meters. Highly recommend!

At first, the trail goes through the rainforest along the cliff, crossing streams, which then become waterfalls. Then the vegetation changes to rarer and lower. In a small area - several types of tropical mountain forest. I am very sorry that I did not go to the end.

I bought a fresh pineapple juice (100) in the parking lot, and sat at a table in the adjacent recreation area in the shade.

4th point - Black River Gorges observation deck. Between the two mountains there is a gorge and a river below, supposedly (it is not visible). In the distance - the sea-ocean. Not bad.

On the right, I saw a path and walked along it (10 minutes one way). First up, then down, then again a little up and then very much down to the stream. The landscape is monotonous - a path cut through the jungle. Underfoot is a complex surface - roots and stones.

5th point should have been Chamarel Ruhmrie. I didn't really want to go there. It turned out that I was already behind schedule, and the taxi driver suggested that I skip this attraction, to which I gladly agreed. It should be noted that for bringing tourists to certain places, locals receive some kind of points / bonuses. Therefore, the zero points of my route were the Workshop for making models of ships (spent 5 minutes - politely listened to the guide and took a couple of photos) and a large Shop (went in, made a ritual tour of the windows, left - 1 minute). From Romovarni in general, I got away in a hybrid way))))))).

6th point - Chamarel Waterfall. It already looks like a real waterfall. In addition, the landscape itself is amazing: sheer walls of the failure of the correct geometric shape (semicircle) and lush vegetation. I liked it already on the lower observation deck, and when I climbed 10 meters up the stairs, then... From the upper platform - the beauty is simply indescribable!

Stood up to 20 minutes. If someone was prevented from taking a selfie - sorry, I was afraid to destroy my personal nirvana)))).

Point 7, very close - Chamarel Colored Earth (335 entrance fee, the only paid place). Forced to enter into a discussion with Internet haters.

(Your claims that advertising photos are heavily photoshopped and do not correspond to reality - absolutely, vacuum-spherically false! Colors are present, both in bright sun and in clouds. Your “revealing” pictures “without photoshop” are manipulation. I was I was prepared for the question and took a LOT of photos. At 80 percent, yes, there are no colors, but at 20 percent, everything is fine. I post photos from MY smartphone (350d price) WITHOUT any processing. )

Things in brackets, after thinking, I wanted to demolish, but then I decided to leave it all the same. On mature reflection, I assume that the saturation of colors is highly dependent on the degree of soil moisture. That is, those who got to the moment when there was no rain for a long time, may have been disappointed. My photos are great on smartphones, but worse on a laptop. I don’t know how it will be on Turpravda.

My association with Chamarel Colored Earth is a huge art object of modern (in a good way) art. I was delighted. Cherry on the cake - cafe. Located on the observation deck. The prices are democratic (a baguette with chicken and 2 beers - 375). I hung in it, enjoying the views of Chamarel Colored Earth.

There is also a playground with turtles in Chamarel

There is also a playground with huge turtles on the territory - very nice.

The last, 8th point is the Maccondee observation deck. A good place. View from a small cape to the ocean on two sides. . .

. . . and towards the land on a giant (in length) rock from the coast.

On the way back to Port Louis - the road goes along the sea with the corresponding coastline to Tamarin. The road from about Alexandra Falls to before Maccondee passes through the forest. The views range from simply beautiful to superb and sometimes fantastic. Among other things, touches the presence of pine trees, unusual for the tropics.

The price of the trip is 3500 to the taxi driver (Yash - +23.5259 2780 Mitsubishi Lancer base, without air conditioning). The route is his, pre-approved by me. Convenience (for me) is a minimum of things with you (purse with money, a smartphone and glasses). I didn't even take water with me. All food and drinks I consumed during the trip (8 hours from hotel to hotel) are mentioned in the text.
