I'll start from the beginning, with the settlement.
My wife and I came to Malta, like many people there, to study English. We are given the keys to the room, the windows of which look exactly at the windows of the hotel, located across the street. That is, for example, you come out of the shower, and the entire opposite side sees your nakedness. In addition, there is a street below, which in the evenings / nights is packed with drunken foreign eternally screaming youth. Nah, that won't do. I go to the reception, agree on a change of room. It also turns out that you will have to pay about 20 euros for air conditioning. Wow! What kind of practice is this? But they say if you do not need a conder, then you can not pay. Well, anyway... Let's go look at another number. The ninth (last) floor, the view is excellent, the sea, everything seems to be fine. But then bam! In this room, in any case, you have to pay extra for the conder! What kind of savagery? ! I'm starting to get excited again, it's already starting to bother me. They - well, there is another number. Let's go look... View of the pool, the courtyard, so to speak (there is a photo). Well, more or less, it seems that no one will look into the windows if the curtains are not opened much, and you don’t have to pay extra for the conder. Okay, let's take it. Although the dirt is still left over from the previous tenants.
The maids there quickly wiped something, I want to note not very high quality and retreated. Finally we settled in.
As it turned out later, it would be better if we paid extra for the conder on the 9th floor. Do not listen to anyone if you are told that the pool view room is a great choice, quiet music and no noise!! ! It's just some kind of cap! It turns out something like a well, three buildings stand around the pool, each fart made from any balcony enhances its sound power at times. It's impossible to sleep there. Starting from 22 hours and until the morning there is such a din that the hell you can rest there. I don’t know who said that Russian tourists are the most reckless in the world, but this is complete nonsense! Spaniards, Italians, Germans... that's who the most noisy and moronic people (youth of course). They yell some songs, imitate the cries of animals, throw bottles from balconies, just yell stupidly, run along the corridors with the same incomprehensible screams, barks, pig squeals, play football, etc.
A couple of times at 5 in the morning they broke at my door. When I came out angry with the question "WHAT THE FUCK? ", they asked for forgiveness and left. The dream was, of course, hopelessly ruined. Once I had to call the reception with a request to calm down the German offspring, otherwise I could not vouch for myself. Surprisingly it helped
Well, it's okay, the hotel is not particularly to blame.
But the kettle was missing. After my request to complete the number with it, a couple of days passed and lo and behold, we got it. It's nothing that it didn't work. I forgot about it and boiled water for morning coffee in some kind of pot.
The shower, as many have already said, is a separate song. For about 10 minutes you adjust the water so that it suits you in terms of temperature and you can pour water over it, spitting out from a single hole with a diameter of 4 millimeters.
To whom was the bed changed every day (or towels, I don’t remember already)? Brad is. The maids simply fold them over again and that's it. During the three weeks of my stay there, the bed was changed only twice, towels... well, 4 times at most.
By the way, it’s very cool to be in a room not completely dressed, not alone (with my wife, for example in my case), hear a short knock on the door, the sound of an opening lock and in the next moment see dark-skinned representatives of the cleaning staff. Fuck! ! What if I'm naked here? They kick you out onto the balcony, they say, come on, get up, I need to fix the bed...
On the last day of our stay there, we went to the beach, I call our guide from there. And I ask if we should have vacated the room before 12 (evening plane)? She - no, everything is normal, but no one called you, didn’t warn you to pack your things and vacate the room? No, I say. Well then everything is fine.
An no. When leaving, in the evening, the receptionist tells me that I have to pay 30 euros for checking out later. I'm in hell! What the hell I say they didn’t warn, they didn’t call. He replied that I should have taken care of it. Super!
Oh, by the way, if you want to iron something, you have to take some kind of queue, pay 5 euros, coordinate the time with the ironer... some kind of crap. We changed our minds about ironing. And of course, 40 euros was paid for the safe for three weeks.
In short, those who are under 20-23 years old, who are looking for a break and sleepless nights in housing - there are no problems for you, book rooms there. And for those who at least sometimes want to sleep a little, this hotel is categorically contraindicated.
I forgot to say, the tiny refrigerator smelled like someone had died there. It was impossible to store food in it.
p. s. I'm not of retirement age, if anything))) I was only 24, I turned 25 there. Drinking, partying, parties are not alien to me. But it was something with something. I really do not recommend. In the process of communicating with other guests of that hotel, the same problems and dissatisfaction were clarified.
Thank you for reading to the end))

I rested in Malta from August 27 September to September 14.2008. Before getting ready for the trip, I received information via the Internet and directly by Russians living in Malta and vacationing there. And, nevertheless - so "dumped" !!!! ! St George's Park Complex - 3* in St Julian's
I will not describe the sights of Malta. The country is very interesting and there are many wonderful places.
I will stop at the service, if I may say so.
When choosing a hotel, I was guided by the fact that I was looking for a hotel where there would be a sandy beach nearby, at least a small one. And since I was not going to stay in a hotel, I decided that a three-star hotel (Europe, after all! ) with breakfast would be enough for me. How wrong I was when I chose this hotel!
The surprises started as soon as we arrived. Firstly, in Malta this year it was hotter than usual: +35 C in the shade with high humidity. The flight was from Moscow at 6 o'clock in the morning, we did not sleep all night, given the time difference in Maltese time, we arrived at the hotel at 11.00. And they settle in the room only from 15.00. We handed over things to the storage room, changed clothes and went for a walk, ate at a restaurant. There are just a huge number of them here, prices are the same everywhere, but as it turned out later, it is in this area that the highest prices are. 50 euros, which we must have for each day of our stay in Malta - just right (eat, buy water and fruit, pay for renting an umbrella and sunbed, public transport).
Externally, the hotel seems to be nothing, I liked the picture on the Internet. In fact - not well-groomed, dried flowers in pots, dust and cobwebs all around. See photo. There are three pools. Many hotels have pools only on the roof. Having settled in the room, we found that there was no air conditioning, but there was a heater !!!!!!!!!! , an antediluvian shower with a plastic hose, with one hole, the water is very poorly regulated (each time it took 10 minutes to reach a certain temperature), this shower was not attached anywhere. So, every time it was necessary to make a lot of efforts to water with one hand, and with the other, for example, to wash long hair... The water pressure in the flush tank was also not enough. Curtains in the shower blackened by time. I, accustomed to comfort, called everyone who was possible (manager, plumbers, maids... ) asked, asked to make a device where it was possible to fix the shower handle. They all said in unison that this should not be done. In the end, I forced them, so they nailed this pen to the wall "tightly" !!!!!! ! Other problems arose. And the crane was 3 cm long and very, very low! In general, the desire to wash properly remained only a dream! Only one towel was provided. True, they changed every day, but sometimes when they took away the dirty, they forgot to put in the clean. Once, having already washed, I did not find a single towel. I had to run wet and naked, wrapped in a transparent pareo, along the corridor in search of a maid! The rooms were cleaned very badly!
The most unpleasant thing awaited us at night. Of course, I read that not far from the hotel there is a noisy street where all the discos in Malta are concentrated. But I did not assume that it was practically under my windows. There is almost no vegetation in Malta, there is only one stone around, so any noise only intensifies. All these (as someone counted 18) discos rumbled until 5 o'clock in the morning. And then the cleaners, scavengers, etc. start yelling. In addition, from Friday to Sunday they had a fiesta every 15-20 minutes, lingering fireworks rumbled, and BRASS bands marched down the street all night!!!!!!!! ! Considering the terrible heat, the lack of air conditioning, and this crazy roar, it was impossible to sleep (although we were tired from the road, I plugged my ears with birushki)!
After three sleepless nights, I decided that by the end of the vacation I could go crazy. They called their travel agency. On the same day we were moved to a room opposite overlooking the pool. Slept two nights! This is where our happiness ended. In our large hotel, 90 percent of all residents were 15-18 year old teenagers from different countries (there were no Russians at the hotel at all), who came to study English - complete scumbags - always drunk, stoned and stoned. Usually in all hotels at night you can’t swim in the pools - they are cleaned. But those stupid kids didn't care! From discos they came to the pool - yelled and squealed all night. Attempts by the hotel staff to drive them away were unsuccessful. Several times in the middle of the night I went down to the reception desk demanding to stop this disgrace - it's useless. In addition, they rush through the corridors all night screaming and slamming doors. Parents should look at their children! Now I tell everyone that in no case did they let my children go to study the language.
Breakfasts at the hotel are exactly the same every day: beans, microscopic sausages, an egg, very fatty fried bacon, and apparently the worst cheese and boiled sausage of one kind, jam, butter, water, tea, coffee. Tablecloths on the tables are paper, instead of teaspoons - plastic sticks. No vegetables, no fruits.
In addition to weekends, a car with fruits, vegetables and water came to certain places in the evening. Prices bite. So, for example, 2 peaches, 4 plums and a bottle of still water - 5 euros!
We ate at restaurants. We tried to change them every day. The food is very tasty, the plates are like trays. Not all restaurants have smaller portions (you have to order them). The Russian menu was not met anywhere. The most expensive fish and seafood dishes.
Umbrella on the beach 3 euros, sunbed as well. They wanted to buy an umbrella in shops, but they couldn’t find it anywhere. Apparently they don't sell it. By the way, although it is written everywhere, and my friends said that there is no crime in Malta, a towel on the beach was stolen from my friend. And it must be left under an umbrella when you go out during the day.
Check out from the hotel at 11 o'clock. The travel agency did not warn us that you can pay in advance for another day of stay. We left at 22:25. So I had to while away the time in the shade by the pool. I didn't want to walk anymore, it was too hot.
We also did not manage to fly away from Malta calmly. The driver for us on the minibus did not arrive at the appointed time. We began to call our guide in Malta (we took care of the Maltese SIM card in advance and put money in). The guide assured me for half an hour that he was on his way. But in the end, she came by herself in her car. I tried to find him for a long time, but in vain. As a result, an hour later she took us herself. Tourists from the remaining four hotels traveled on their own, some by taxi, some by passing - which is quite difficult to do. As our guide told us, this happens very often. The Maltese are never in a hurry to go anywhere. The word punctuality is not familiar to them!
If something interests, is ready to share experience.
Svetlana.
