In Malta, we managed to be in February for 4 nights. The choice of hotel was influenced, as always, by the price. For two adults and two adult children, we paid 300 euros (family two-room suite with breakfast and dinner). The location in Mellieha is quite convenient, near the bus stop (X1). Check-in could be called fast if the conscientious girl at the reception did not try to explain everything to us in great detail, but this is not a minus. Especially with our English : ) Upon check-in, they will give coupons for a welcome non-alcoholic drink. Many people write about the labyrinths of the hotel, but it's not scary. More about the numbers. Here is the lottery. We had a large company and three large rooms. And all three are different. Here are very different. But, in each kitchen with a minimum of utensils for cooking and enough utensils for serving (we hardly used it). One room has two bathrooms, the other is very large in size and overlooks the church and the pool, and one, one might say, is the most unfortunate, small (started with the number 2). Room heating through air conditioning, when we figured out what and how it became warm enough. Dryer foolish, wall-mounted. There were no shampoos, only shower gel in the dispenser. This is 4*. The linen is clean, the beds are partially comfortable (the sofa bed in the living room is not very good). The hotel was not inhabited and therefore it was quite quiet. The food is excellent. To the slaughter. And fish, and seafood, and lamb, and we weren't there for long. The selection of desserts is extraordinary. But there is -. No drinks at dinner. Everything is paid. Water-2.70 euros. But for breakfast, excellent coffee from the machine! The bar in the cave (vaunted) did not work in February. But he worked side by side. Which had happy hour, two cocktails for one price and a nice Russian speaking bartender. The indoor pool was visited for interest. Norm. I disagree with the previous review about white wine. We took exactly the Maltese, in a large tetrapack, and we really liked it. Valyou supermarket is nearby, I advise. What else I want to note: if you want to see the main island, then living in Mellieha, get ready for long journeys by public transport. We didn't get everything we planned. Ferries did not go to Comino, buses broke down and plans collapsed due to traffic jams, and weather conditions. But you can walk to the village of Popeye. The most beautiful place, in February it is open until 16.00. In fact, our weekend was a success! But in season, I would choose a different location.
