In July 2010, we rested in the suburbs of the southernmost city of Montenegro, Ulcinj. On this trip, we were lucky with everything and with the chosen place, and with the hotel, and with the weather,
But first things first.
Montenegro struck with its beauty even when approaching it. And then I just fell in love with Montenegro!! ! Magnificent nature, unusually clear emerald sea, friendly, beautiful people - all this is it - Montenegro (Montenegro)! Palm trees and conifers coexist here.

We stayed at the Albatros Hotel. It is located on the seashore among chic pine trees, 15-20 minutes. from the city of Ulcinj (walking along the picturesque, pine coast). The rooms are spacious, comfortable, which have everything to have a good rest (air conditioning, refrigerator, TV, telephone, sofa bed, loggia, beds). Friendly staff always smiling (a trifle, but nice). Every day they change towels, shampoo, bed linen every three days. All rooms with sea view. The view cannot be described, you have to see it for yourself. Sea and pines… air with the smell of pines and the freshness of the sea, the sounds of the surf, birds and crickets. The sea is clean. transparent
to such an extent that when you sail from the coast at a very good distance
(before the buoys), you can still see the bottom, and even how these very buoys are attached.
Renting 2 sun loungers and an umbrella - 4.5 euros, and during the day you can
leave and come as you please. The beach is rocky (with platforms), clean (not many people), the entrance to the water, like in a pool, from the stairs. Water is clear and clean. Perhaps this place can be called a resort.
One downside is the breakfast. Breakfast - a buffet, but monotonous, but dinner, although on the menu, but a good choice consists of 2 items of first courses, 4 second courses, a choice of dessert and drinks. None of the dinner menu items were repeated. The service is friendly and polite, everyone understands Russian.
Lunches were not included in the cost of the tour, so we went to the nearest restaurants for lunch several times. Restaurants are, of course, loudly said, rather cozy places with homemade food and drinks.

What they offer is very tasty and not expensive. I especially recommend the seafood, which is cooked there very tasty. On average, you can eat for two for 7-12 euros, but if with beer or wine, then for 16-20 euros. The portions are all large, incl. and salads. Everywhere we were greeted with joy and tasty food. But of all the restaurants visited, the ANTIGONE restaurant left the most pleasant impressions and memories. Very cozy restaurant, it is located on the wall (on the rock) of the Old Town. The feeling that you are on a ship, where the sea breeze blows you, with a gorgeous view of the coast and a view of the open sea, where Italy is beyond the horizon. The staff is very friendly, even if you came just to look at the panorama that opens from this restaurant, you are still very welcome. We went there for lunch three times in a row. Go to Ulcinj, be sure to visit this restaurant, you will be satisfied and remember it pleasantly. The food is fresh, very tasty, however, as elsewhere, but the coziness and the view are extraordinary. .
We went on a sightseeing tour of Montenegro, with a stop in the former capital -
Quotation. Most of all I liked the serpentine road, very narrow, when the bus turns on a sharp turn, of which there are already 25 or two buses pass, it seems (or maybe it doesn’t seem) that the wheel is hanging over the abyss, ooohhh breathtaking.
We liked the quotation, there we went into the old church where the hand of St. John the Baptist, which baptized the Lord Jesus Christ, and a part of the cross on which Christ was crucified are kept. After exploring the city, we returned along the road that leads through unusually beautiful places called the "Stone Sea of Montenegro". We stopped by the village of Negushi, the village is famous for its delicacies, such as prosciutto - smoked pork ham, Negushi cheese and delicious mead. The cost of the tour is 32 euros per person.
Further, a pleasant surprise, these are excursions to Croatia and not requiring a visa to Albania. I advise everyone to visit Dubrovnik (Croatia), a very old city
some data are already 5-7 centuries AD.
Do not "roll" only on the beach. Alternate holidays at sea with excursions. Otherwise, you will never know why tourists admire this extraordinary country.
As a result, I advise everyone to visit Montenegro in order to leave an unforgettable experience in their memory.
