My friend and I lived at the Obala Hotel building La Mer. I was immediately struck by the fact that there is no reception downstairs! We were met by a 20-year-old boy who cannot connect two words with a third... I speak Russian to him, my girlfriend speaks English, and he stares blankly and mumbles something in Serbian, without even trying to use an online translator. Naturally, we did not understand anything. The boy was holding the keys to the room and an envelope with papers from our tour operator. He handed us this and led us to the third floor. He opens the room, and there is God's shit... Dirty bed, huge stains, hair on the bed. The toilet is full of rubbish and used bottles. We are in shock, we ask to be moved to another room or at least clean this one. He somehow understood the essence of our indignation and took us somewhere, leaving the suitcases in that dirty room. It turns out that the reception, the devil knows where... in another building, which is gouged in all axes and parameters. There are not 3 stars, but one from strength.
We were very hungry, so we decided to eat first. The food in the restaurant is terrible, it was impossible to eat... The food is disgusting, even I (having no cooking education and being very lazy) cook 1000 times better! They are not able to fry vegetables, I generally keep quiet about more complex dishes like pasta with seafood! The waiters walk around with such an expression on their faces, as if they have already spat into the dish a couple of times. They are rude, frostbitten, work "for fuck off".
After dinner, we were settled in another room, leaving without suitcases! The boy with the keys to the first room (which contained our belongings) escaped safely. At 23 hours, we are tired, angry and without things. The tour operator could not get through to the reception, I had to go there again and figure it out. With grief in half, by midnight we were able to take a shower and go to bed. There was a desire to teleport to their homeland and forget this experience like a bad dream.
