Day three
Quite a lot of time has already passed, and I remembered that I did not finish writing about our honeymoon in Montenegro.
Well, let's remember. . .
On the third day of our ten-day honeymoon, we went on an excursion to the city with the interesting name of Sveti Stefan, or the island of St. Stephen. We sailed to the island on a boat.
This is a wonderful place. The old town of the island is closed for renovation, so we only walked around the new part of it. But in this city we liked most of all. Beautiful nature, clean beach, sandy shore. Sunbathing on the seashore, we enjoyed the sound of the surf and the “singing” of cicadas. The wind carried the smell of sun-warmed pines and other conifers.
Having bathed heartily, we got a little hungry and went in search of a decent cafe. This was the hardest thing about it. Restaurants on the island were very expensive, and I didn’t want to dine on the beach, but I had to. We waited for a table to be vacant and started looking at the menu. Good thing it was in Russian. Having ordered pasta with seafood, and chicken with vegetables, we expected. The order was brought quite quickly and to our pleasant surprise, the vegetables for the chicken turned out to be french fries) Yes, the portions in Montenegro are really large).
It was already about 3 pm, especially after a hearty lunch, we wanted to go to the villa. The sun mercilessly roasted, and the sea was no longer a pleasure.
We noticed that in Montenegro people go to the beach in the afternoon. And this is strange, just at the time when the sun is warmest. But this is not for us, at lunchtime we enjoyed relaxing in the garden in our beautiful villa.
For the evening we planned a walk, but felts from sunstroke, felts from seafood for lunch, I started to feel sick. And we spent the evening in our room eating the biggest and juiciest berry of the season - watermelon.
