Maybe I'm too picky, I'm only writing my opinion. This hotel does not in any way meet the standards of a 4* hotel! Accordingly, room prices are high, it is better to rent a room in a 3 * hotel and not worry about overpaying. The rooms are small, the walls were apparently stained with something and no one is going to wash the stains on them, the curtains and curtains are in holes, the bed linen is falling apart into threads, instead of a blanket they just gave a sheet and a blanket, a mirror on the closet and a mirror above the table in stains and traces from water, the chair is also all stained, the shower holder is broken in the bathroom.

Yes, corny, in this "4 * hotel" the door opens with a key, CARL'S KEY! and not a map as it should be in a hotel of this level.
At breakfast, the choice of dishes is quite small, but in principle it is not so important to eat enough food. The chairs and tablecloths in the dining room are all stained, dirty, it seems that the staff does not know at all what washing powder and a washing machine are.
We have a tech air conditioner in our room, we went to the reception to the administrator twice and asked to fix the problem. These lazy girls never invited anyone to even see the machine! At night, we woke up from the fact that water was dripping from the closet, we had to turn it off and sleep in stuffiness and heat because it was annoying. The top board of the cabinet, where the water was pouring, was already all falling apart, exfoliating, the paint was cracked and fell off in pieces. At the top we found three towels, apparently prudently placed there by our predecessors, brothers in misfortune.
In general, the hotel is not worth the money at all. They need to do major repairs and take care of the staff.

The hotel is just super. I did not expect very comfortable two-room apartments with a huge terrace overlooking the mountains, the sea and the neighboring garden. The sea near the city is small, you can walk on foot. Two days here and in impressions. The hotel staff is excellent at the reception, the girl Diyana is very sympathetic, kind, understands Russian, the bartender Miloitze is also sympathetic and speaks pure Russian.

There are no problems with hot and cold water in the hotel. The air conditioners work, the rooms are cleaned every day. Thanks to the hotel, the holiday is chic. I wish you all a good holiday. Thanks to the hotel staff.

Good afternoon! I want to thank the staff of the hotel "Shaio" for the excellent attitude towards vacationers. Polite, attentive, ready to help in any situation. I really liked the location of the hotel. The sea is not far, 200-300 meters. I agree. But there is the most beautiful Budva! The hotel is new, cozy.

We liked the hotel, it has everything you need, except for the pool, but we saw pools only at 5 * hotels. We went on a tour throughout Montenegro from 6:30 to 20:00, took breakfast with us, and before dinner we thought we would have time (dinner until 21:00), but we were delayed and late, but we were still not left hungry, but brought to the room dinner was very nice! in Budva, the beach is relatively clean, but in relation to the city of Bar, there is just a terrible beach, people swim right in the garbage (empty cans, cigarette butts, cigarette packs, etc. ) The best beach in Rafailovici, you can walk, minutes 30 without hurry from the hotel. In general, the impressions are positive, would return there again, but only in July or August, because in June the water is not warmed up yet

Small but nice hotel "Sajo", located in a good location, although not on the first line by the sea. The hotel is on the side of the road and can be a bit noisy. Nearby are a supermarket and a bus stop. Walk to the sea for 10-15 minutes, to the Old Town - about half an hour (well, that's who walks). The staff is friendly, the hotel has an elevator! The hosts promise their guests bathrobes and slippers.

Balconies vary in size in different rooms. Furniture and plumbing in good condition. In general, a good and clean hotel with its own parking.
I wish you all a pleasant holiday!

I propose to blacklist the Columbus travel agency, which works in various directions, including. h Montenegro, Croatia and Slovenia. We became another victim of the Columbus travel agency, taking a combined tour to Montenegro (5 days, Hotel Club Riviera 3 *) and Croatia (5 days, Velaris Tourist Resort 4 *, as expected) from 19.07. 2010 to 29.07. 2010. In fact, instead of the promised Velaris Tourist Resort 4 *, we (a group of 20 people) were forcibly and without explanation taken to the Hotel Medena 3 *, although Anya from the Columbus travel agency assured us by phone that the replacement was equivalent that it was 4 *. It's not even 3*, as there is no pool at all!! ! True, the hotel website says that it is, but I don’t know how you can call a dilapidated, non-functioning building a swimming pool. And the fact that the coast has much worse beaches than the island part (the promised Velaris resort is located on the island of Brac) and the resorts there are of a lower class than on the islands, every Croat knows. And how can you say that the Hotel Medena is comparable to the Velaris Tourist Resort? On the face of it is a clear fraud and fraud of the Columbus travel agency. I'm afraid that these machinations are well covered up and the trial will yield nothing. On our return, we made a claim to the director Barinova O. and they took it to Rospotrebnadzor (where we were told that you were not the first to complain about Columbus) We bought the tour quickly and there was no time to check everything. We checked the hotels, read the reviews, everything seems to be acceptable. In fact, everything turned out differently....It remains a mystery whether this settlement was paid for, or whether Medena, as the last state resort, is a cesspool where all the restless in Croatia are taken. And people like Columbus profit at the expense of us. . . What we saw when we arrived was even worse than we expected. The beach is concrete, the pebbles are prickly, and the sunbeds are paid. The food in the cafeteria is disgusting. But the most annoying thing is that we paid for this at the price of a 4* resort!! ! So look, dear residents of Tver, where and from whom to book. But certainly not from Columbus. . .

Hello! I hope the information that I am going to share with you will be useful when planning a vacation and making such an important decision as choosing a country of rest and a hotel. So: Montenegro, Budva, hotel Sajo (Shaio). Rest time: 28.04. 07 - 05.05. 07. Why Montenegro? Probably, like many others, I was first of all bribed by the opportunity not to think about obtaining visas (I planned and booked the whole tour myself); the prospect of being in a friendly country with a kindred culture and a close language also seemed very attractive.

And, of course, I will not hide it, I was counting on a more economical vacation compared to the more experienced countries of Western Europe in the field of hospitality.
Without going into details, I will describe all the pros and cons of the rest:
Pros:
- Stunningly beautiful nature (I'm not even afraid to seem banal here - it really is).
- Clear sea with emerald water.
I would never have believed that I would swim in the Adriatic at the end of April.
- Friendly locals. If you wish, you can explain yourself in Russian, which was a very pleasant moment for my mother, who does not speak English.
- Actually about the hotel itself. Newly built, still smelling of fresh paint. The staff speaks passable Russian (basic sentences), but English is much easier to speak. The rooms (we took a suit for ourselves and a regular room for my mother) are bright, spacious and equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Breakfasts, in general, correspond to my idea (supported by rich travel experience) of a 4-star hotel. But this is where all the "pluses" of the hotel and the resort end.
Minuses:
- About the hotel:
1) the prices are clearly too high! For a place with undeveloped tourism (everything is under constuction!
) the cost per room in May is comparable to the cost of 4 stars in June-July in Portugal or Greece, it seems to me extremely unfair. Without going into details, but I have something to compare with - it's not worth it.
2) Twice I had to draw the attention of the staff to the fact that there was no hot water in my room - it was very difficult to use the shower. And even after the problem seemed to have been solved, there were problems with water.
3) Room decoration: everything is clean and neat on the outside, but there are many annoying "inaccuracies": ill-fitting sockets, inconsistency of holes in the bathroom and plumbing (there are gaps); ill-conceived very light upholstery of upholstered furniture - in my opinion we were the first guests of the season in our room, and at the same time, despite our accuracy and the absence of small children - by the end of our stay the furniture acquired significant traces of dirt.
3) All the time of our stay at the hotel, under the windows, the road was constantly being built. Probably already in June, new residents of the hotel will be able to enjoy a comfortable sidewalk, but in May it was just awful!
4) When booking a hotel, I was offered a choice of sea view or standard view (+2 euros per day per person). Don't see it! It is not possible to see the sea from any window of the hotel. But the mountain view is amazing! At the same time, I will say right away that the sea itself is very close - 300 meters through the territory of the Alexander Hotel - which, in general, is very pleasant.
- Budva itself. Continued disappointment. Complete discrepancy between prices and service. The restaurants were very upset - rather high prices (80 euros for a dinner for three) with a very ordinary quality of food and - oh horror! - I have not found olive oil on the table so necessary for a normal dinner in any institution!
Instead, on the tables in oily (literally and figuratively) bottles there was a liquid with the smell of rancid (honestly) sunflower oil. And that's for 80 euros!
- A huge number of tourists! Despite the fact that we were clearly out of season - the number of vacationers, for example, on the beach, clearly approached the top point of my comfort zone. It is simply scary to imagine what will happen on the same beaches in June-July (especially knowing the fact that in June only on Saturdays 12 flights from Moscow fly to Tivat !! ).
I can add many more facts and thoughts about Budva, the Shaio hotel, and Montenegro in general, but I respect my time and yours.
Therefore, I’ll just summarize: you can go on vacation to Montenegro only if you have the opportunity to live there very cheaply (for example, with friends), you are not very sensitive about the level of service, you are ready to eat junk food or pay rather big money for normal food and do not experience discomfort with an extremely high density of vacationers per square meter. meter.
Good luck and have a good rest!
P. S. The hotel, after all, I put "4" - because the staff is at the level, the attitude is correct and not bad, in general, the repair : )
