Montenegro. City of Budva
"K'o jedno nek budu dva"...
In every Montenegrin city, its old part stands out. The same is true in Budva. On the wall of the Citadel of the Old City, you can see two interconnected fish. An old legend says that the young stonemason Marko Mitrov created this composition in honor of his beloved Elena. The girl's parents opposed their happiness, then the couple joined hands, jumped into the sea and magically turned into two fish. Someone commented: "Let the two be as one. " And as a result, the name of the city appeared - Budva.
Old Budva. For 2.500 years it has been pleasing its guests, residents and tourists. One illustrious Greek, Cadmus of Phoenicia, expelled from his homeland, comfortably settled down on the shore of the Adriatic Sea. He took his wife Harmony with him. What happened next, history is silent. However, it is known that the Romans ruled here from the middle of the second century.
And after the fall of the Great Roman Empire, along with its division in half, Budva had to be divided. Until the 19th century, along with Serbian, the Venetian language was also heard everywhere.
The Budva Riviera is the center of Montenegrin tourism. If you find yourself in Montenegro, you will not pass by Budva. For most, this is the best place to stay. These are the Party Center, the Entertainment Center, the Center for Harmony, the Center for Montenegrin Coastal Geography.
Rest in Budva has a huge number of advantages:
1. From here it is convenient to move in all directions of Montenegro.
2. There is a large colorful beach with an incredible view of the so-called local Hawaii (I'm talking about the main Slavic beach).
3. In the western part of the city there is the most amazing Old Town, full of small shops, cafes, ancient churches ...On Starogradskaya Square there is the Archaeological Museum, where you can see the first Budva pebbles.
For Russians, Budva is a country cottage, a house. In summer, the city speaks Russian. It is especially good for those who have children of different ages: Russian development schools, dances, music, Russian children's doctors ...
5. An important feature is that it’s fun here: you don’t even need to dig deep into the underground club, just go to the embankment. Almost every cafe turns into a musical institution, from where infectious Serbian music is heard.
6. Closer to the mountains, there is a place where you want to freeze, feel the peace, and, finally, enjoy the extraordinary view. I'm talking about Podmaine, a monastery for men. The road there is planted with fig and orange trees on both sides, which initially leads to temptation. There are excellent vineyards in front of the monastery itself. It's hard to believe that this beauty can be real! . .
7. Gorgeous beaches Mogren 1 and Mogren 2. The color of the sea captivates.
Yachts, yachts, yachts...I rejoice, I rejoice, I rejoice. No more comments.
Of course, you can’t do without minuses either, but when there is such natural beauty around, you don’t even want to talk about them. Who really needs it - ask)
