The weak point of this wonderful hotel is the beach: firstly, it is paid. 2 sunbeds and an umbrella - 10 euros, beach towel - 1 euro.
Beach services should be paid at the reception, otherwise on the spot for "services" you will have to overpay 5 euros on top. However, next to the "paid" area is a small strip of beach without sunbeds, where you can wallow on your towel. Secondly, you will have to walk 200 meters to the beach, passing along a busy highway along a specially equipped bridge. You will have to climb the bridge and descend from it by stairs, which will certainly bring some inconvenience to parents with babies and the elderly.
I wish you all a pleasant holiday!
*****
Photos and impressions about the hotel were brought from the promotional info-tour in Montenegro in October 2013.
firstly, this is the most decent hotel in the area of becici and rafailovici. Those who are interested in the beach should consider only these villages, because. It is impossible to go to the beach directly in Budva ! ! It's not just horror, it's horror horror! I have never seen such a crowd of people, despite the fact that I often complain that there are a lot of people on Odessa beaches (private) ! ! There people are just teeming, the beaches are narrow, dirty . . In general, fu!!
In Becici, this is much better, if only because the beach strip is much wider, 4 times for comparison. The best beach is of course the beach of the Queen Hotel. And even though you have to pay for it separately 10 euros for a set (2 sun loungers + umbrella), it's worth it! The sun loungers are placed at a decent distance from each other, so even when full, you don’t feel discomfort! The sea is clean, and what a pleasant surprise warm!!
Another plus is the hotel lobby, it’s nice to sit in the evening, wifi is free, but it’s not in the rooms . . Which is a minus for me.
The area next to the pool is small, it does not accommodate everyone who wants to sit after dinner, which is also a minus.
The pool is small but beautiful. Sun loungers are also limited.
The main fat minus! This is nutrition. Oh God. . . I don't know how to describe it!
Very, well, not very tasty . . All week I saved an omelette with croissants for breakfast, and for dinner, apart from grilled vegetables and grilled chicken, you can’t take anything in your mouth, well, maybe rice. The range is sufficient . . Was. But the quality of the food, and the way they are prepared. Canteen canteen. Although it tastes better in canteens. I have a sweet tooth, for the whole week I have never been able to eat something sweet . . ; ( everything is not tasty, it does not look beautiful . . ; (( pay for dinner 15 euros per person . . I do not advise! This price does not include commonplace water and tea. . You have to pay 3.50 for water! ! This is despite the fact that in the store it costs 1 euro. .
I also didn't like the room, small, not cozy. Terrible lighting, you can't see anything in the evening, it's so gloomy. . . The balcony is another story! From above it is covered with boards, the distance between which is a finger, the first time I came out, I could not understand where the water was dripping from . . I raise my head . . And this is a girl upstairs on her balcony, hanging a swimsuit. Like this. And don't sit.
Our room was with a sea view. But they settled us with a view of the palm trees! It turned out to be -1st floor, and the greenery covered the whole view. After 4 days, after the arrival of the tour agent, they offered to move, but somehow there was already laziness.
For me, this hotel is not worth 230€ per night.
Here!
And Montenegro disappointed somehow. The prices are aching, it’s not clear why . . we were in Croatia last year, I really liked it! We hoped that everything would be the same in Montenegro . . But no; (
The products here are all locally produced, it's like we will only sell products of Ukrainian production. . . !!!
Prices are the same as in Croatia, but the level is much worse. Very dirty on the streets. Somehow it all looks like an owl. Many buildings are unfinished and abandoned. In general, Montenegro lured us with a visa-free regime, but it’s better to go to banal Turkey. And if you have a visa, then to Istria!!
Once again I want to say about the food at the hotel . . It's disgusting.
I hope my review helps someone.
And in general, go to Istria better! And gastronomic, and cheaper, and more pleasant))
The outdoor pool directly overlooking the sea is an amazing feeling! The beach is located in a beautiful bay across the road from the hotel, the transition there is carried out by its own suspension bridge. Beach set 2 sun loungers + umbrella costs 10 Euro per day.
The hotel has a main restaurant, a la carte, a bar, a casino, a nightclub, a tavern, shops, a hairdresser, small conference rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, a jacuzzi, a solarium. There is animation.
Meals of two types - BB and HB, buffet.
Rooms of different categories. Even in the most ordinary there are soap accessories, a hairdryer, a telephone, a TV (Russian channels are available), a mini-bar, a safe, a balcony.
A hotel worthy of attention, even for a sophisticated public.
The luminous crown "The Queen of Montenegro" can be seen in the evening from any point on the Embankment! Queen of the Coast!
I decided to leave my review about the Queen of Montenegro hotel, where I rested with my pregnant wife from 01.07 to 08.07.
I will refrain from the background of how we chose the hotel, resort, etc.
And so, let's go.
Settlement.
We arrived at the hotel late in the evening, so we didn't have to wait for anything. They gave us passports, they gave us a room key card and after 5 minutes we were in the room. Half an hour later they took the passports at the reception.
Number.
Not big but cozy room, we were not cramped) Modern interior, everything works, nothing is broken, only the old TFT TV was. The most awesome was this bed, snow-white and very soft, bed linen.
The Internet was right in the room, caught WI-FI, besides there was a LAN socket to which you can connect with a wire. You can ask for a wire at the reshepshet or take it with you, this will solve the problem of a bad Wi-Fi signal and most likely will betray speed.
The closet was full of hangers.
Air conditioning built into the ceiling, worked perfectly and properly.
There is a minibar where we put our water.
Cleaning and service.
Cleaned every day and good, even without a tip. The guide told us that it would be possible to leave a tip at the reception at the end, so they would not take it from the table. I didn’t leave it, only in the last 2 days I left it - they still took it)
Towels were changed every day, there were already 7 pieces - snow-white)
I can’t say how often the bed was changed, I didn’t notice. In principle, we had it clean, so if it was changed only 1 time, then this was enough.
The rooms have terry white bathrobes, room slippers, extra blankets and pillows.
Nutrition.
We ate there) There were more goodies than we could eat! breakfasts are of course monotonous, but this is probably the case everywhere (in Egypt it was the same), and for dinner there are always different dishes, take whatever you want and as much as you want. Everything is delicious. There was probably dietary food, in its appearance, but we did not need it.
There were all sorts of cereals for filling with milk or yogurts, and fruits and vegetables, and pastries. There were many people with children.
IMPORTANT, drinks for breakfast are free, and for dinner all drinks are paid, they are ordered from the waiters.
Hotel.
The interior is pleasant, there is where to sit, walk around. The territory is certainly not large, those hectares as in Egypt are not there.
Places near the pool are probably occupied even before breakfast. But it's better to go to the sea.
Staff.
Always friendly, smiling and ready to help in any matter. On the last day, we checked out of the room in the morning and went to Budva before the transfer. Tired and sweating a lot. We were allowed to take a shower at the spa without any problems. Russian is more or less spoken. If you know English, then there will be no problems at all.
Beach.
The beach is clean, but paid, albeit its own. At the reception you pay 2 sunbeds and an umbrella - 10 euros, on the beach towels (if needed) - 1 euro per 1 towel.
When we were there the sea was not very clean.
The water is cloudy. The entrance is on the stones, which decently put pressure on your feet there. Sensitive, you can take sneakers, such as those offered in Egypt.
Rest in general.
In general, I liked the rest, the sea, the sun, the air is awesome, the food is cool, riding a scooter, an excursion to Dubrovnik, a trip around Montenegro in a rented car. All sorts of performances on stage were, but not noisy. All sorts of discos and other noises did not interfere. Those who go to "light" there will be bored, except to go to the embankment.
If I didn't write something, sorry, I wrote from memory.
I chose the hotel for a long time and meticulously. I wanted to be within walking distance from the center, but at night to be protected from the noise of evening discos and restaurants. Such a hotel is The Queen of Montenegro. The only negative is the road encircling the hotel (quite noisy at night).
In my opinion, the hotel lives up to its 4 stars. The room has a safe, hairdryer, bath (not a shower), bathrobes and slippers, TV (with 20 channels, including 3 Russian); wardrobe with a bunch of hangers, mini-bar, telephone, internet at the reception, it is possible to order breakfast in the room; all rooms with balconies. The hotel offers spa services, a gym (they are, however, more suitable for women).
Very cozy lobby. In the evenings a girl sang (good voice).
There are few Russians in the hotel. During the period when my husband and I were resting, 3 more Russian families lived in the hotel. Basically, German pensioners and delegations, Italians and Chinese came there.
Our neighbors were a couple of Englishmen. Employees of the hotel understand in Russian.
Breakfasts are varied: various sausages, scrambled eggs and scrambled eggs, fruits, yoghurts, muesli, pate, cheese, cakes, fruits and ice cream; although at the end of the week we got a little fed up, I wanted porridge. Dinner is more varied, complemented by fish, meat, salads, pizza. Drinks for dinner had to be paid extra (tea 1.5 euros, juice 3.5 euros). For children, you can order a special menu.
The hotel has its own beach, you need to go 200 meters to it, crossing the bridge across the road. The beach was kept clean, on the shore there is a bar, changing rooms, showers, toilets and a playground. Sunbeds, umbrellas and towels on the beach are paid. You can pay at the reception (5 euros) or on the beach itself (12 euros). We went with towels from the rooms. On the beach there are pebbles (small and medium), at the entry into the sea there is sand (if you go along the coast towards the island of St.
Stefan, then opposite the restaurant "Three Fishermen", there is a completely sandy beach.
In general, I really liked the hotel.
I won’t write much about the country, you can find a lot of reviews about it.
I strongly advise you to visit as many restaurants along the coast as possible for lunch. I recommend the cafe "Alexander" (the third one to the left from the beach of the hotel), there are simply huge portions (you can order half a portion), try pancakes with prosciutto (this is their national jerky) and "podgoritski popecki" (these are pork rolls with prosciutto and Negush cheese ), all hot dishes come with a side dish (potatoes with spinach or fried peas with corn).
The average bill for me and my husband without wine was 15-17 euros, with wine 23-30.
Drinking tap water is not recommended. Buy bottled water (pack of 6 liters for 3.5 euros). In a cafe, juices are 2-3 times more expensive than tea and coffee.
In Montenegro, telephone communication is very expensive. We bought a local sim card.
Excursions can be purchased on the coast, but it is better from the representatives of the tour operator at the hotel, then you are guaranteed good bus drivers, interesting stories from the guide. The only thing that upset: the excursions provided time for lunch, in the restaurants that the guide recommended portions were small and not very tasty dishes (compared to restaurants on the coast), the worst restaurant "Apollo" (on an excursion to the Ostrog monastery). If possible, choose those in which the local people eat (tastier and cheaper there).
I recommend excursions: mini-tour (overview of Montenegro), Dubrovnik, Ostrog Monastery, 2 canyons. The road passes through mountain serpentines (impressive views), on a ferry across the Bay of Kotor.
In early June, the season is just beginning, there are few people, the beaches and the sea are clean, prices are 30 percent lower than (August).
The sea is cool (18-20 degrees), but having warmed up in the sun, it is very pleasant to cool off in it (only Russians and a few Germans bathed in our presence).
This is the end of this brief excursion, you will see the rest for yourself.
