When asked whether it is worth relaxing in Croatia or Montenegro, I will answer unequivocally - Of course it is worth it.
Beautiful nature, clean sea, friendly people.
However, be very careful when choosing a hotel. And I'm not too lazy to emphasize, very carefully!! ! In the season June - August it is very hot there (it was especially hot for me in Montenegro) and it is extremely difficult to live without air conditioning in the room.
In June, I went on a bus tour "Croatia - Montenegro" which was organized by the Feeria travel agency. Surprises began already in Chop. The bus that was waiting for us in Chop clearly did not correspond to the high-profile title of "Euroclass bus". It belonged to some Hungarian company and the drivers, respectively, were Hungarians, who, apart from their Hungarian, did not know any other language. And we did not have Hungarian experts in the group either. Our guide and group leader Lena knew English. How she communicated with them is still a mystery to me.

Then, even better, in Budapest, the second driver left us, but the wife of the remaining driver joined in his place. And further, and the road is not close to Baska Voda (the city where we should stop in Croatia), we drove with one driver. Which is generally against the rules.
But the most important thing is the non-working air conditioner and the constant breakdowns of the bus. Something was constantly leaking from the bus and it caused us concern. After all, Montenegro was ahead, and this is a dangerous mountain serpentine, and in fact everyone wants to live. Therefore, we already asked our team leader to change the bus in Croatia. But the management of the Feeria travel agency did not respond to our request in any way, of course, because it was not Mr. Zakharenko (director of the Feeria) who was riding the bus at 30 degrees and above. In Montenegro, the temperature in the cabin reached 45 degrees, if she didn’t see it herself, didn’t say it (our people even took pictures of a thermometer with such a temperature). Actually, I don't like the sauna, and now I understand why.
Then we had to rebel. We wrote a letter to the management of the Feeria company, where we stated all the comments on the bus and the entire group of 30 people signed it. Only after this and our repeated calls and conversations on the way back we were provided with a really normal bus.
What else can be seen is that we tourists are completely disenfranchised people. And therefore we are "thrown" by travel companies as they want and as they can. Maybe someone brought to responsibility is not a conscientious travel agency, then share your experience.
Now about hotels
In Croatia, we stopped in the city of Baska Voda, Urania Hotel. The hotel is basically nothing, but there is a small BUT. It is positioned as a 2-star and there were no air conditioners in the houses where we lived. And for example, in my contract with a travel agency (I bought a tour from the travel agency "Metropol Travel Group"), the class of the hotel is 3-star and the obligatory presence of air conditioning. And how is it to be here? There is a direct violation of the contract.

In Montenegro it was even worse. We were settled in the MOC hotel (I would call it a former pioneer camp), also 2-star without air conditioning, with smudges on the ceiling, and a terrible bathroom. At first we did not want to settle there, but we did not want to spend the night on the bus, and so we had to. The room was not just hot, but very hot and parko, the music from the nearest cafes was screaming until 2 am. It was practically not cleaned, plaster fell in the rooms of our friends, there were traces of either rats or mice, etc.
My advice to you is NEVER settle for THIS MOTS (or MOTS) HOTEL. The only plus that there was still a good dinner.
I have only one conclusion - the FEERIA travel agency saved a lot on us, Mr. Igor Zakharenko, the director of this company, cares only about himself and his own benefit. And he just doesn't care how people who go on tours of this company rest.
Still, I am an opimist and a lot of good things remain in my memory: these are ancient cities, Plitvice lakes, islands, an emerald and clear sea from which one does not want to climb out.
Therefore, of course, go to Montenegro and Croatia, but at the same time be vigilant, do not let yourself be thrown.
Nata
