In general, the impressions are quite positive. First of all, the room surprised me with its size - for myself, I described it as "oriental luxury". Well, this is more of a joke; ) The condition of the room is very, very personal, there are a few scuffs here and there, but it's just a trifle. Most of all, I was pleased with the sofa by the window, a special niche was made for it. You lie down on it and feel like a full-fledged four-star sultan; ), only a hookah and a harem are missing; ). I firmly decided that when I do the next repair at home, I will do something similar at home.
I was somewhat surprised by the separate bathroom: separate toilet, washbasin, bidet, bathroom - separately. But a bathroom with a hydromassage, on which there is a vase with some kind of grass and flowers. It's probably for taking a bath. Well, I don't know, I didn't use that herb. The bathroom has a hairdryer, bathrobe, cap and towels lined with intricate patterns. Not bad.
Room cleaning is regular, there were no complaints about cleaning. Towel patterns were posted every day : )
Now what I didn't like is the restaurant. More precisely, not the restaurant itself, but the kitchen. For some reason, Moroccan food, neither in this restaurant, nor in others, did not impress me. Firstly, I always had to wait a long time for an order, and secondly, I didn’t really like the food. For example, their rice is not tasty and / or they cook it not tasty. Tried it in different places - everywhere is the same. Seafood is not bad. To be fair, I must say that the portions they make are not just large, but very large. If you order a starter, main course, salad and dessert, then most likely it will not come to dessert. Don't eat everything. But what really surprised me was the olives. I have been to Spain, and Italy, and Greece, and I thought that I had tasted real olives. But in Morocco, olives are beyond competition - they are the most delicious there, there are a lot of them, I ate them and could not stop. Moreover, olives are served everywhere, for example, with beer.
The location of the hotel can be rated as good. The hotel is located in the center, close to the bazaar and attractions. A stone's throw from it is the world-famous La Bodega - not a cafe, not a restaurant, but rather a club with a very cool and relaxed atmosphere. In the evening and at night there is a stormy movement, good music, you can meet both local beauties and the same vacationers. True, the prices there are obscenely high, if my memory serves me right, then a bottle of beer starts from 10 bucks.
In general, beer in Casablanca in bars and restaurants is not at all cheap, however, a rather large portion (and sometimes two) of olives is served with each bottle / glass of beer. And so everywhere.
In the vicinity of the hotel is full of all sorts of establishments with beer, music, prostitutes, in general, for every taste. Often they offer marijuana or "heavier".
Despite the fact that the country is Muslim, there are no problems with alcohol. As I said, bars and restaurants are not cheap, but there are liquor stores that sell local and non-local alcohol. For sane money, you can buy a bottle of not the worst whiskey (not local).
Casablanca bazaar is something with something. Leather, textiles, gold, etc. in large quantities. Prices are reasonable, BUT! You have to bargain, bargain and bargain again. As a rule, the initial price is called generally unrealistic (what if they pay? ), The final price can be two to three times (or even more) lower. I heard that they can be robbed in the market, I don’t know, this has never happened to me. Feel free to send all volunteer assistants who cling to tourists and work as guides through the bazaar away, but they, as a rule, do not unhook. With the help of such "helpers" you will pay double the price wherever you go.
On the other hand, the beaches are far from this hotel - about 20 minutes by taxi. And they have different taxis there, you need to choose the right taxi, there are normal prices. In the "wrong" trip can cost twice as much. You will be brought to the beach area (or what it is called correctly, I don’t remember). A long road, on the one hand there are bars and entertainment venues, and on the other, slopes to the beaches. As far as I understand (I was out of season), the beaches are common there, although I may be wrong. The line of sand is quite wide, but there is an oceanic tide, and it seems to be ebbs and flows. But I think it's good there in the summer.
Despite the fact that I stayed at this hotel out of season, there were no free places there. The contingent is most likely local or from other African countries. There are few tourists, the vast majority are French. I never met my compatriots.
I think if you decide to go to this hotel during the season, you need to book in advance.
In general, the Moroccan direction is not at all developed in the tourist market. But in vain. There is something to see, there is where to relax, there is something to buy. Of course, in terms of living standards, this is not the Emirates and not even Turkey - not very clean streets, a lot of beggars, they say, there is even crime. But if we compare it with India, whose popularity is now gaining momentum, then Morocco is generally the pinnacle of civilization.
Another problem is language. The languages are only French and Arabic, with English there strained. I think because they are mainly focused on tourists from France, who, in turn, prefer to go to places where they speak French. At the bazaar, sellers and "helpers" know a few words in Russian. They say that once there were many Soviet fishermen here, hence the shallow knowledge of the Russian language among the local merchant population. So tourists who own only obscene great and mighty will not be entirely comfortable here.
In general, maybe someday I will go here as a tourist. Olives to eat; ))))))
