Massa Reserve, Legzira Beach and Tiznit Silversmith Town
On one of the vacation days in Agadir, my friends and I rented an off-road vehicle and set off on our own route: Agadir - Massa Nature Reserve - Legzira - Tinzit - Agadir.
Sous Massa National Park is located 49 km from Agadir. According to the internet, the Sousse-Massa State Reserve has over 200 species of birds, as well as a large number of reptiles, mammals and butterflies. The park also has the largest colony of bald ibis in the world. Created in 1991 on more than 300 km² , it is famous for the diversity of its flora and fauna.
We stopped by the reserve to admire the flamingos, of which, as the Internet promised, there are a great many. What was our disappointment when it turned out that among the numerous birds living in the reserve, there are permanent and migratory ones living there! And of course, according to the law of meanness, the flamingos just flew away! And we, sunbathing in Agadir, just watched one of the flocks flying away together with pink clouds! So, if flamingos are your goal, be sure to ask about the migration period during your proposed visit to the reserve. Of the remaining animals and birds, we saw through binoculars some black birds that looked like vultures, as well as donkeys. Neither one nor the other particularly interested us, and after taking pictures of the surrounding landscapes, we went to Legzira beach!
Legzira is one of the most beautiful beaches in Morocco. The beach is located 170 km from Agadir, away from settlements. Despite this location, it can be quite crowded here, especially when groups of tourists are brought. But thanks to the fact that we went on Monday, and even during Ramadan, or maybe just lucky, but in fact we were almost the only visitors there, not counting two elderly French women. The main attraction of this uncrowded beach is the amazing beauty of the huge clay-sand arches created by nature itself. Stretching along the beach, they give this place a fantastic view, especially at sunset. We couldn’t wait until sunset, because we still had a planned visit to the city of silversmiths, Tiznit. We walked in Legzira, photographed amazing rocks, and then had lunch in one of the restaurants. I really liked Legzira. I decided that I definitely need to come back here with an overnight stay to watch the sunset and sunrise in this unique place. I can imagine how magically the rocks will be painted in the colors of the setting sun! And what there air! It's hard to imagine how bright the stars are there! After all, the nearest town is Sidi Ifni, 12 km away! And this means that city lighting will not overshadow the radiance of the stars! By the way, you can spend the night in apartments or rooms above the restaurant. We inquired about the prices and examined the rooms. Thumbs up! Clean and good furniture, all rooms with toilets and showers. And it's inexpensive. Night from 20 to 80 Euro, including breakfast and dinner.
Right on the beach in one of the rocks, three guys have equipped a home for themselves. New Robinsons or Downshifters! " As for me - loafers-loafers! Having asked me where and by whom I work, they unanimously sympathized with me. “Sit in a stuffy office for 8 hours a day? No-e-e-e-t! It's horrible! " I wondered what they live? They say: tourists feed, well, they catch fish.
From Legzira to Tiznit about 63 km. Tiznit is a famous city in Morocco for the production of silver jewelry and all kinds of silver handicrafts. The city itself is nothing special. But my girlfriend and I were very interested in the topic of silver jewelry. As one of the classics said: “The beauty of a woman is thirty percent determined by nature and seventy percent by the jewelry that she wears. ” But to be honest, what we saw was decorations of a very authentic character. By themselves, they were very attractive, but they didn’t fit into either modern outfits or modern times, and it’s quite obvious that they didn’t fit in with the image of a modern European woman. In general, we went to Agadir. Moreover, there were only 100 km to go to Agadir and the dream of a delicious dinner spurred us to return as soon as possible!
