Where would you start your story?... Probably from the most important thing. When I first got on the surf, I realized that this is mine. This is my life. And now this life should be next to the ocean and waves, with a board under his arm. And for this life, than I’ll earn a thread... ) But first of all I will write not about this, but about what places I managed to visit in search of waves and beautiful places. There are not so many of them in the track record)
For the first time I saw the ocean (it doesn’t look like a sea at all) in Bali. I also tried surfing there. Bali is a beautiful island. Beautiful nature, numerous spots, perfect waves. We lived in Kuta, this is a resort town with a large number of tourists, locals, clubs, bars, restaurants, etc. But too noisy and fast traffic (very fussy in terms of), as in Moscow. If I went a second time, I would choose a quieter area, there are many of them. Food, transport, accommodation are all cheap. At least it was in August 2010) Now the flow of tourists has increased. And if you really go to Bali to surf, then min for 2-3 weeks, because. the flight is not cheap and very long.
It was because of the long and expensive flight that I began to look for places closer. Yes, I want variety too.

My first choice fell on Morocco. It was very interesting to know what kind of country Morocco is. Everyone goes to Turkey or Egypt. When I said that I was flying to Morocco, I felt ambiguous views on myself)) What?? ? Exactly there, I said) Tired of all your all inclusive and crowds of tourists.Iwouldliketoplungeintothelocalcolor, wherenooneistryingtomakemoneyatyourexpe nse, whereyouwilljustrelaxwithyoursoul, surfandhangoutwithafuncompany)Igotall thisinMorocco)
IsearchedforalongtimeontheInternetwhichsurfschoolIshouldgotoandmychoicefell onSurftownmorocco http://surftownmorocco.com/index_ru.html I gathered a bunch of friends and all four of us went to conquer the Atlantic) The country is visa-free, the flight is inexpensive, accommodation includes meals, which is very convenient, because. after a wheelchair, you usually get very tired and don’t feel like doing something at all, they will take you to the spot and bring you. In general, live and enjoy this life)
A huge number of reports about Morocco have been read. All opinions are different, but the majority were amazed and impressed by this country, so unlike all other Arab countries. And so it turned out. People are all kind, sympathetic, they won’t say a bad word to you. And they will also help and show the way, out of the kindness of their soul and not because of self-interest. But every country has its exceptions. . .
Our camp was based 15 km from the resort town of Agadir, in a quiet and cozy village of Tamrat, 200 meters from the beach. No fuss, no tourists, no touts. Full relax) The surf house itself is located somewhere in the center of it, on a hill. It has 3 floors and a rooftop terrace with a beautiful view of the ocean, and especially of the unreal beauty of sunsets over the Atlantic. Mmm… Agadir can always be reached by local buses. Modern, comfortable. They go on time. The fare is 5 dirhams (it's somewhere around 15 r). In Agadir, you can walk along the promenade, there is a mini zoo, sit in a restaurant or hang out in a club. There is also a huge market where you can buy all the necessary and unnecessary souvenirs). And how we were fed… mmm… neither Swedish table for you, nor processed foods))) Relatives and relatives of the surf house workers cook there… Everything is homemade, fresh, tasty. Tajit of veal, fish, couscous, etc. Real jam).

Surfing every day. In the morning we were taken to the spot, and in the evening, when we were already tired, we were taken back to the camp. The beaches are big and wide. Sunbeds do not get confused under your feet, because. they are not there) Well, there is . . for a fee, they can roll up, but somehow no one felt the need for this. My board is my sunbed!! ) The Atlantic is certainly cold, but you don't feel it in a wetsuit. You can spend 2 and 3 hours in the water and not freeze, although I consider myself to be freezing) The instructors and Aziz (the owner of the camp) are very nice and funny guys . . Abdul is a super torpedo, if you got tired of rowing, he only gave his and dragged you at that speed, and sometimes you and another person... as if he had a motor instead of hands). In the evening, tired but very pleased, we gathered on the upper terrace and shared our impressions of the day with delicious wine or beer. The music was replaced by the sound of the ocean, but for me this is the most beautiful music) But if you want, you can always bring a laptop and have a party)
To rent a car and go somewhere, I think this is not a problem for Morocco. Because there are very clear signs, signs and good roads. So we visited the beautiful Legzira beach. When you are there, it feels like you are somewhere on Mars, surrounded by red rocks.
In the end, I’ll probably say that I was very pleased with my visit to this country. For the first time in my life, I didn't want to leave. There is such an aura there, or mysticism, but there has always been peace and tranquility in the soul.
Will I go back there again? Of course yes!
In less than two weeks, I already bought plane tickets and pricked up my ears for a new camp in August) Portugal!! ! Honestly broke between Spain and Portugal. But some inner I said that there was nothing to do in Spain, go Olya to Portugal)
That is how it was done. The visa is done quickly, without unnecessary strain at the embassy. They give at their discretion, some for a year, some for half a year, some for three months. Probably in the mood)))
Next, choose a camp. Oh, my bastard... How many of them there... I thought my eyes would run wide and no longer come together) But here it was salvation that fell on my head and was chosen. OceanFerrelSurfcamp http://www.oceanferrelsurfcamp.com/int/Home. aspx
I give links to make it easier to navigate and find out more information about the camp. Because I don’t see the point in describing something, everything can be read on the site.

Let's start with the trip. Our arrival was in Lisbon, a taxi to the hotel booked for the night was 8 euros from the airport (if you arrive during the day, you can take a bus, 7 times cheaper). We decided to walk around Lisbon for a day and then go to Peniche in the evening. The question is where to put the suitcases. On a day off, be careful, because. Luggage storage if I'm not mistaken is open until 18.00. If the bus was chosen later than this time, then it is better to leave them at the hotel, and then pick them up. Stored at the hotel for free, all our things were in place later) After that, we went to the nearest metro station. It is very easy to navigate it. We got to the Oriente station, visited the aquarium there, got to the square by bus, etc. In general, we walked along the tourist route... We fell into the bus and went to the location) The buses are comfortable with wi-fi all the way.
We arrived in Peniche late, around 21.00 hours. We were met by the guys from the camp, Rui and Lucas, and were taken to the small village of Ferrel. Settled, threw things in the shower and sleep. We'll check everything tomorrow)
Here it is the morning of Portugal. Fresh ocean air. The surfhouse was very comfortable and cute, divided into 4 sections. In each, as we called it, "apartment", a large kitchen with everything you need, 2 rooms and a toilet with a bath or shower. Everything is clean, bright, in a minimalist style, nothing superfluous) Our own small area, a barbecue, a hammock, a large table for a big party, bicycles, surfboards) we had breakfast in a cafe for free. What goodies are there. Ham and cheese sandwiches, but either the taste of the bread or the butter made them incomparable. Croissants with cheese and chocolate and many other pastries. After that, how not to row and row and row in the ocean for like 3 minutes))) We loaded the boards, beach accessories and priests into surf buses and went to the beach. It is located about a kilometer from the camp. But since people who are fond of sports in one way or another ride surf, this kilometer did not bother at all. What a nice sand, it feels like you are walking on warm snow and it crunches under your feet, creating a massage effect). And again, again what I love the most. This is the calm and lack of tourist understanding of the resort. Those. a few locals and visitors, probably vacationers, as well as surf schools with students and boards. feeling of complete freedom. The beaches are very long and wide. Everyone was distributed along the coastline so that no one interfered with anyone. Classes were held 2 times a day for 2 hours. The instructors were in the ocean with the students all this time. Prompted, helped, insured. As a result, after 3 days of training, everyone got out to the lineup and tried to catch their green waves. You can dine in restaurants on the coast, or walk to the store. I usually took fruits with me and dined with them. You can bring food in a container prepared at the camp. Or a sandwich from breakfast) The products there are very cheap. Greens, fruits, canned fish, real meat sausages, etc. everything costs a penny. Moreover, I’m not a rich woman, I don’t have extra money) If you get tired, you can walk to the camp or go shopping, or take a walk to the Baleal Peninsula. In the evening, we either cooked and ate food that we bought at the supermarket or went to dinner at a bar. I advise everyone to try port wine. Real Portuguese port wine is the most delicious that I have ever tried and sangria). You can also walk to the ocean and hang out in a bar and watch the sunset, or go to bed so that you can stand on the board in the morning without any problems) In addition to us Russians, there were also Italians, Slovaks and Portuguese guys (instructors) in the camp, then on Friday we had a party of national cuisine. Each representative of his people prepared something tasty) All this was washed down with green wine, port wine and sangria).
What else can I say about Portugal, and in particular about Ferrel, the camp and its inhabitants. There you can feel the whole life of the local population, no hotels, no tourists, no annoying barkers, etc. And only beautiful houses, lovely friendly people, comfortable conditions for living and recreation. Go and you won't regret it one bit. You can also travel by car or local transport.

For now, this is my whole surf experience) But it’s not small enough already... My soul could not stand it on NG and decided to return back to Morocco... I will come back soon !!!! )
