Yes, the staff does not speak Russian - but in Morocco it's like that everywhere. And the rest: the location is just super - if you want a taxi, you want to get to any point in the city by city bus. If they offer a room (3-4 floor) with a view of the zoo, do not refuse - it comes with a view of the OCEAN, maybe a trifle, but I liked it.

Having traveled all over Morocco, I can say that here is the best cuisine - 3-4 types of meat, 2-3 types of fish every day, and 6 more varieties of ice cream - overeat as much as you like. I really have not seen such cuisine either in Egypt or in Turkey.
I agree with other tourists - they do not go to Morocco for a beach holiday. The very peak of August, and I was freezing all the time. In Casablanca and in Essaouira, the same story. The pool at the hotel is small, but very cozy. In general, I really liked it.

SETTLEMENT. An elderly couple slipped the admin 10 euros in local currency, Well, I followed their example (gave 5 euros) to give them a little incentive to issue a decent number. Which I received on the 4th floor (according to their gradation - on 3m), overlooking the courtyard with a swimming pool and a garden.

Well, I followed their example (gave 5 euros) to give them a little incentive to issue a decent number.
Which I received on the 4th floor (according to their gradation - on 3m), overlooking the courtyard with a swimming pool and a garden.
The room is small but cozy enough, with a large bed, just like I wanted (not 2 narrow ones, which is important! ).
Everything you need is there: a plasma on the wall with 2 Russian channels, a refrigerator and a working condo.
Its only drawback is that there is no roof on the balcony. Thick boards in the form of a canopy do not save from the rain.
ELECTRIC SOCKETS - in this hotel with a metal pin for grounding (in Marrakesh they were common).
It is better to have an adapter and a tee with you to avoid possible problems.
NUTRITION.
I had BB accommodation (breakfast only).
In the morning, a classic buffet + hot dishes (stewed beef with onions or delicious turkey sausages),
pancakes are cooked on the stove and eggs are fried (omelet with additives of your choice / scrambled eggs).
I went to dinner once - I was too lazy to look for something on the side, but I wanted to eat.
They charged me 150 dirhams (about 15 euros) for it.
The choice and quality of food was normal and I was satisfied with the dinner.
INTERNET - free WiFi available, 3 access points.
From Friday to Saturday (just during Kurban Bayram) he worked extremely unstable, then he just turned off.
The rest of the time it worked fine.
For comparison: according to friends who lived in the Royal Atlas Hotel (which is downstairs on the 1st line), this option cost as much as 20 euros / day.
CONTINGENT - the hotel at that time was not loaded.
There were Europeans, several decent Arabs, 2 Russian couples.
SHISHA - next to the hotel, in the Les Cascades restaurant - which in my eyes is an absolute plus.
95% in it are locals of both sexes, men naturally predominate.
The disadvantage is that the TVs are turned on quite loudly (they watch football).
But this problem was solved by using our own noise canceling headphones.
and ended up enjoying a smoke with a more appropriate background sound.
Hookah (80 dirhams) - they cook well!
But you should not expect that the "coal miner" will come running immediately at the first call - he makes a round of all smokers about once every 10-15 minutes.
BEACH - go down the path from the hotel to it, about 500 meters.
Fenced area by the sea.
Did not use.
TAXI - a separate song!
On such dumps I have never been able to go anywhere and ever!
And these are the most used cars of all the countries where I have been (see registry)!
Once I opened the door of an old Mercedes when landing - and there was a feeling that it would fall off right away.
There are two types of taxis:
1. red-orange "PETIT taxi" - almost 30-year-old tiny Peugeot 205 and Fiat Uno dominate.
About to sit next to the driver, a large person can not even think about.
For such - the rear "sofa", where they climb in and out.
2.
"GRAND taxi" - "Mercedes" W123 of the same age!
Outwardly, they look much better than inside (there is just “guard! ”)
It seems that these machines have not been cleaned even once during the operation.
And such squalor is moving along the streets of the resort town.
There were only two exceptions - at the Papagayo club at 3 am (and the price was 100 dirhams) and in Marrakech.
The meter has never been turned on, everything is on a contractual basis (usually 30-50 dirhams, depending on the distance and time of day).
They stop to pick up a client and if there are others in the car.
ALCOHOL.
Sold freely, prices and quality are normal.
Bought 2 times in Marjane and Carrefour Market.
I went to the last one at 19.00 - the alcohol store in the basement was closed,
and it never occurred to me to ask if it is open at this time ....so stocks should be replenished well in advance.
TOURS.
I took it from Pegasus (Coral had finished its season by that time), you can find descriptions on the Pegasus website.
one.
Tiut & Taroudant - in general, it was more interesting for me than Marrakech itself.
2.2 days to Marrakech and Essaouira.
On reflection, I chose this option (and not 2 cities separately).
The main reason: you don’t get so tired, several additional hours of bus travel disappear at once.
And did not regret.
Historical places interest me first of all,
but the Bahiya Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian tombs made no impression.
In contrast (I did not expect it myself! ) From the Menara gardens - a very nice place with cacti.
The most interesting place seemed to me the medina and the fortress of Essaouira.
And further:
2 Pegasus buses and 1 passenger "Mercedes Sprinter" with Russian tourists moved along the entire route,
those who bought a tour in a street agency - stopped almost simultaneously at the places of inspection and at the "technical" stops.
So, the “Mersovites” saved money (I don’t know how much, I didn’t specify), but according to one of them, “a hotel in Marrakesh - g%, the breakfast in it is terrible. ”
We were settled in a decent hotel Diwane 4 *, which I will write a short review about later.

We were pleased with such a quick response, but this was the only concern for us. Later, we learned that this diorheic glory was firmly attached to this hotel. And in general, be careful with drinks and food, especially in the city, because. there are no disposable dishes, and glasses and plates are practically not washed.
