Dear site visitors! If you are looking for a truly honest review of the Justus hotel, then read my review to the end.
Firstly, without going into details, I can state with confidence that the hotel does not pull on 4 *! Yes, the rooms are spectacular, decorated in antique style, good bed linen, which we have not changed even once in 5 days, a large minibar (for those who are interested), a good view from the window, the room was warm, but terribly smelled of sewerage, not constantly, - periodically, obviously the pipes are old. The shower cabin is leaking, and most importantly the door! Inside there is even a lock and a chain, but they are made so that it is convenient to open the door from the outside! Let me explain why I write this way. On the second day of our stay at the hotel, we noticed that someone used our cosmetics, it was obvious, since the previously closed creams turned out to be open, and the jar with the most expensive cream was simply empty!
On the one hand, the situation is absurd, this cannot be proven, you might think that we are lying, but in fact I am not one of those who want to warm up in a hotel. In this regard, the hotel and the manager took the right position - the client is always right, and invited us to visit the sauna as a compliment. We promised to think about it, in principle, we didn’t really want to, and the very fact that someone uses personal things was unpleasant. That same evening, we went to bed, having previously closed the door with a chain and a lock from the inside, in the morning, leaving for breakfast, we found that our door was open! It wasn't open, but it wasn't latched either, just covered. Then we began to doubt and thought to ourselves, maybe they forgot, maybe they didn’t shut it down ....and didn’t tell the manager. On Friday, January 6th, we went on an excursion - rode a husky, got wildly cold and decided to take advantage of the hotel offer and warm up in the sauna. We warned the staff an hour in advance and ears to have dinner.

The time was about 22.00 when we returned and went to the sauna. Accordingly, the rooms are cleaned in the morning, in the evening no one should enter the room, so we carelessly left the wallet in the bag and all our jewelry on the table. We spent about an hour in the sauna, while I returned to the room for water. We returned to the room and everything was in place, but things didn’t seem to be the way they were, but it probably seemed - we thought. The next day was the day of our departure. Train at 16.50 and at 16.00 we thought to leave the hotel. We were evicted at one o'clock in the afternoon, we left our things in the storage room (suitcases with combination locks) and went for a walk around the city. Not far from the hotel there is a fair where we decided to drink mulled wine, and there I found that my wallet was empty! The wallet contained 90 euros and 2800 rubles.
We returned to the hotel to sort it out, asked to call the police and show us the video from the surveillance cameras, the girl at the reception is very rude, taking advantage of the fact that we do not know Latvian (which is not entirely true), she began to speak unflatteringly about me. We lived in room 317 and the camera was clearly above our entrance. Accordingly, on the video from the camera, we saw how an outsider, whom we had not seen before, calmly and confidently walked through several rooms from the 2nd to the fifth floors, visited, including ours, while opening the doors of the rooms with OWN OWN electronic key! With this man we missed each other literally for a minute! I returned to my room for water right after he left, taking my money. The man was not afraid of the cameras, he went, as it turned out later, into the rooms of the guests who were absent at the moment on the spot, he DEFINITELY KNEW this!
Moreover, all the guests from these rooms had to leave the next day! The staff answered our questions that ONLY the hotel employees have the keys to all the doors, otherwise it is IMPOSSIBLE to open the door! But at the same time, they claimed that the man with the video does not work at the hotel))) From this we can conclude that someone gave him the key, and in the future, someone insured and supervised the actions of the thief. The young man who showed the video from the camera behaved calmly, when he saw the thief, he (like the rest of the staff) was NOT SURPRISED! True, he inadvertently uttered the phrase that when the door is opened with a key, the program reflects the name of the person who opened the door and this information cannot be erased! The hotel manager refused to provide this information to us and the police. At first, she tried to move out because the hotel administration is not responsible for valuables left in the room, but what about security ?!
Who is responsible for the fact that at night, while we were sleeping, a stranger came into our room? ! Who is responsible for the fact that in addition to our keys there is a key that opens ALL the doors in the hotel? ! And if we ran into this person at the moment when he was in the room, and I was returning for water? ! ZERO SAFETY! In the evening there is absolutely no one at the reception, the doors open automatically, the elevator works without a key, there are no doors to the floors from the stairs at all! Tours are conducted in this hotel and anyone can climb any floor! Moreover, the hotel manager did not write a statement to the police about initiating a criminal case! They just registered the fact that it was. Looks like it happened : )

The hotel refunded me the amount stolen and offered us a transfer to the train station. The driver turned out to be VERY polite and courteous, he did not give us our suitcases until he left them on the platform and quickly left.
We were on our nerves and only saw traces of burglary on our suitcases in Moscow! My friend's lock was torn off and things inside were turned upside down, my suitcase was not in time, or could not be opened. It turns out that if everything had gone well, then we would have discovered the loss of valuable things only in MOSCOW! Who checks the suitcase after he closes it with his own hands? ! They couldn't even think about it!
Justus Hotel, we really hope that everyone who wants to stay with you will read this review and will have an idea of your well-coordinated theft system! We're very lucky you didn't rob us to the bone! Remember that such cases will not go unpunished and sooner or later you will be caught by the hand!
Comrades, be careful! Choose another hotel if you don't want to be penniless! The presence of a stranger in the room at night does not bode well!
Everything is at the same time in the hotel, I think there are also mourners who control your movement around the city at the moment while they are rummaging through your things! None of the other guests were informed that a thief had been in their room! People don't even know about it! I think if they discovered the loss, it was only at home.
I wrote a statement to the police, of course, we can’t check whether it was registered. I will appeal to the Russian Embassy in Latvia so that this situation does not die out and the perpetrators do not go unpunished!
