Jurmale is already 800 years old! It is one of the most popular resorts in the Baltic States, 25 km from Riga. Sea, forest and cultural recreation are combined here.
In Jurmala, it is pleasant to walk along the cozy streets, where there are many old wooden fairy-tale houses, modern hotels and villas.
In the Lielupe district, you can see the Bullyuciemsky lighthouse, 28 m high.
Pedestrian street Yomas has many shops, cafes and restaurants.
Century pines, clean air, parks, lakes, sea, dunes, wide sandy beaches. Here are some of them: Majory, Dzintary, Buldury, Lielupe.
He liked the beach in Lielupe the most: soft white sand, less people, peaceful rest. The sea is shallow everywhere, in some places there is algae near the shore.
In the park, the fun "Tarzan" can be climbed to the observation deck on a tower with a lattice floor. The higher, the scarier! But the views of the boundless forest and the Baltic Sea are amazing!
In Jurmala, the Dzintara concert hall often hosts various musical events. We visited the 22nd International Festival "Ballet Stars in Jurmala". Artists from Germany, America, Finland, Ukraine and Latvia performed. Ukrainian performers performed a modern ballet choreographed by Radu Poklytar.
Yurmala is a cozy resort town, 32 km long along the Gulf of Riga, where there are 14 districts (Dzintary, Dubulty, Kemery, etc.
