You can’t call it a hotel, rather a deserted building where you are on your own

Written: 25 january 2018
Travel time: 13 — 24 january 2018
1. The rooms were prepared only after our arrival.
2. In the rooms where we were settled, it smelled of mold, as if no one had lived there for a year, in the next room the girls found a huge spider, which caused terrible squeals!
3. The doors of the cabinet are rewound with a rope. are not closed.
4. Entrance doors are creaky, after two days of living, plywood exfoliated from the door and the door did not close.
5. For 11 days they cleaned 1 time.
6. Garbage just had to be put out the door and after a day or two, it was still taken out.
7. Breakfast - burnt, oversalted, cold omelettes, butter and burnt bread, and barely warm coffee. Water was "forgotten" to give out and it constantly had to be demanded.
8. With early excursions and departure at 5.45, the hotel staff ALWAYS stupidly slept! We had to wake him up ourselves, open the hotel from the inside to meet the guide.

9. In the spa - 2 girls work, it's even hamlo! As a result, the massage was done in a completely different hotel, if only not in this one...
10. Not a single agreement was fulfilled by the hotel staff. But the hotel often hosted in the evenings some kind of parties of the local population with smoking in the bar, music, drums, etc.
11. The feeling that we just interfered with lounging and hanging out with the hotel staff.
12. The hotel is really located in the village - this is a separate issue! There is no entertainment, NOTHING! Those. all leisure is purely your decision!
13. Well, the saddest thing - Sri Lanka itself - struck with the complete indifference of the indigenous people to their country. They grow tea - but almost no one drinks it there... there is an ocean, but the locals eat small anchovies, the food is very spicy and no one will adapt to your tastes in local cafes. The guide does not even know who the monuments are in Kandy. Absolute indifference to the history of their country. No one expected such gloom. And here the question is not even to the hotel, but to Sri Lanka in general! What was it? If you want to cling to something, find a zest, individuality, some kind of tradition, a peculiarity inherent in the island - and you don’t find it...... I don’t want to condemn someone for something, but I don’t advise anyone to waste time on " holidays in Sri Lanka.
Good luck to everyone on vacation!
