Tourism develops a strong addiction - don't start touring!

Then we didn't know it yet - Sri Lanka was one of our first trips abroad and none of us even thought that after the UAE, some trip would make a stronger impression on us, including me, but Sri Lanka captivated our hearts immediately and completely!

The trip was spontaneous - our family tour agent Katya helped, she is just smart, as there is a "family doctor", so she is our "family tour agent" .

No sooner said than done: two families, a flight with a transfer to Sharjah, UAE and then to Sri Lanka (Colombo airport).

Knowing the total time of the flight and the waiting time for the transfer (probably about fifteen hours in total: some kind of horror), we thoroughly stocked up at the airport (I mean Duty free promotional rum) and our trip began!

According to our feelings, three more days were added to the vacation, since the flight to Sharjah took a lot of time, then waiting at the airport and then another flight, then a short trip from Colombo airport to the nearest town of Negombo, but the settlement was only from 12- ty, and we arrived at three o'clock in the morning. You can’t go to the beach - the hotel manager didn’t let it in, it’s boring to sit in the hall - there is only one radio station from entertainment (not a TV, but a radio station), you can’t walk along the street - everything is closed, what should I do?

Moreover, when we arrived at the airport, they simply drove us "in a herd" from the plane to the exit, as if we were late somewhere and told to wait for a meeting agent - we were allowed to smoke, we decided to go out for some fresh air - there was terrible stuffiness, but going out into the street, we saw an elephant run past us along the road ....

If, at the same time, a monkey had flown on a liana or Tarzan, it would have been possible to immediately call an ambulance, but then they remembered - Sri Lanka, everything is fine!

By the way, there was an exchanger at the airport right away (the exchange rate was one of the highest, as they later found out) and packages were sold (mobile phone) - they changed part of the money and bought a card. The card was very useful and they called home and sent SMS, and there was also time left on it - they gave it to someone, I don’t remember.

So, we are sitting at the Camelot Beach Hotel, Negombo, Sri Lankaat three in the morning - what to do? We decided to decorate the Sri Lanka night with blue black - we unpacked another package from Duty free and everything again lit up with pink flowers .... and it turned out to be dawn. It's too early to settle in - we went out to the square, and there, instead of a taxi, some kind of motsyks: one wheel in front, two in the back: multi-colored, blue, red, chasing - this "knock-knock".

Their local tuk-tuk is just lovely, it cost a penny, but they drive, it's fun.

In short, they took a red and local one in purely Russian (as best they could, given our condition after the flight and the volume, or rather the displacement of "doping") they said: "Let's have a sightseeing tour", oddly enough, he understood us , drove around the city of Negombo, and then took it to the market, and there local fishermen unload their catch - well, whatever you say, a fish row on Privoz in Odessa.

We, like children, leaving the tuk-tuk, dragged everything into our mouths: some bought some nuts, we got some green fruit, our girlfriend picked something else from the tree, ate it, said tasty and, approaching the market, we decided to buy more fresh seafood (one of ours, after reading the reviews, took with him an adapter for an electrical outlet, an electric heater and a saucepan... again: a saucepan!! ! ).

We bought probably 3 (three) kilograms, or maybe 5 (five) of various seafood: crabs, shrimp, and so on.

Returning to the Hotel and settling in, some of our people simply collapsed right in the room - the tiles on the floor are cold... good!

And one steadfast soldier is me, I cooked a chic breakfast, and near the hotel there was a small shop with citrus fruits: whatever you want, by the way, then before the flight they bought pineapples for souvenirs and brought them home, and they sold beer, their local: Three coins (Three coins) - class and there was a royal breakfast: seafood and beer!

They couldn't eat it all themselves - then they gave it to their neighbors.

The tastiest thing I've ever seen is blue crabs, I've never eaten anything tastier.

And so (like on the third day....) - it was all the first day of the trip, our vacation began - first of all, to the beach, and there are fishermen, dogs and crows.

Crows eat directly from the hands.

Then sellers of all sorts of things came up - from elephant figurines to pearl necklaces, they bought everything from them!

Here you can rent a catamaran - a class vacation! We rode to the sunken ship, and back on the cableway along the waves behind the catamaran - we advise everyone!

They also took a boat trip, a trip to the whales - this is generally something indescribable, firstly, as for us - this is extreme: the boat is flimsy, but we are still in the ocean, but then, when you see a whale - you forget about everything in the world!

There are also many temples near the Hotel, greenery everywhere and the most good-natured people, especially children.

There are many excursions around the temples, one of the most important is this trip to the Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa).

The cleanliness around the temple and inside is perfect. We have heard otherwise, but it is NOT TRUE.

The cleanest floors, the care for every bush is visible - everything was just wonderful.

A little advice: take socks with you - you can’t walk in shoes, and the stone on the floor on the territory of the temple is so hot that it just burns your feet.

In general, Sri Lanka is a sea of u200bu200bgreenery, flowers and, of course, tea plantations - we were on an excursion at a tea factory, from now on we drink only tea from Sri Lanka.

There were also sightseeing tours around the country (including the nearest city of Colombo) and there were always elephant and turtle farms!

And we also recommend visiting one, and better all, the national parks of Sri Lanka and go on a tour of the extraction of precious and semi-precious stones - wow, how many souvenirs we bought there in jewelry shops ....

We were in the Royal Botanical Garden in Sri Lanka (Royal Botanical Garden), which is considered one of the best in Asia, located 12 km from the city of Kandy, in the bend of the Mahaweli River - the largest river in Sri Lanka.

In general, we can talk about Sri Lanka for hours, days and so on, but now I just wanted to give a brief overview and not overload with information about the Camelot Beach Hotel, Negombo, Sri Lanka and what wonderful shops there are on the parallel street, for example , Odel firms and what kind of souvenirs are there, and how one of our company taught local sellers to say: "Schiro is dyakuyu", it's a pity they didn't shoot it on video - laughing...

In general, everything was very, very good.

The rest was a success!

! ! ! THANK YOU FOR APPRAISING THE PHOTO, THE ONE UNDER REVIEW!! ! !

! ! ! THANKS TO ALL!! ! !
