But what a misfortune - the picturesque surroundings of Kandy, standing in the foothills of amazing beauty, among tea plantations, streams and waterfalls, in the standard routes in Sri Lanka from most operators, guests "skip" without having time to enjoy the panorama of these places. Not to mention hiking or photo shoots for fun...
And it is not difficult to correct the situation: to take and settle in these very "neighborhoods". So we did! Not afraid of an extra hour of travel to the hotel along a narrow road encircling the mountain range.
We were rewarded with pictures of the mountains in the pre-sunset light and soft morning haze, walks around the lake along an ecological path, photographs against the backdrop of two Hunas waterfalls splashing with mountain coolness. And as a "bonus" we got fragrant tea on the terrace overlooking the lake and the mountain range - it is brewed here with special care. We were pleased with our group, where there were both newlyweds and ladies celebrating the anniversary, the attention of the people who received us, and a good kitchen, where everyone can become the creator of their own salad recipe! . . In a word, if next time in Kandy - then "overnight" in Hyunas! Two days spent here, as well as a funny feeding of fish on the pier, from the palm of our hand, we remember with pleasure every time, gathering with our nice group (we became friends and even go to visit each other - for the weekend. It's a pity that not so often as you would like... ).
