We rested at the beginning of July 2017. Since it was not the season for this coast, the hotel was almost empty - about 12 guests) Just a paradise for those who love solitude)
The hotel itself is very beautiful, the staff is very helpful and caring, always ready to help. The local flavor of the hotel is complemented by two dashing chipmunks a la Chip and Dale, fearlessly chasing around, and a couple of iguanas.
The kitchen is a buffet, I personally didn’t have enough normal meat, since the local one is very spicy !!! ) We only paid for breakfast, I can’t say anything about dinner, although I once tried seafood soup for dinner - it’s just gorgeous, real jam)
Rooms are clean and spacious, cleaned every day. The room has a safe, air conditioning, TV, kettle. The only negative is that the huge window does not open AT ALL, apparently because of the local fauna outside the window.
Since we were out of season and practically all the rooms were empty, we were given a room with an ocean view, although our ticket was an economy class. Many thanks to the hotel staff)
Near the hotel - a village with many shops. We had dinner at a local eatery ten minutes walk from the hotel, called a "restaurant", in fact - a dining room for locals -. But we really liked the quality of the food and the service, so we mostly ate there. In the store they took only fruits (how delicious they are there)))
We went on excursions with the local beach-boy Sarat - many thanks to him for all kinds of support) I was generally shocked by the benevolent attitude of the local population towards tourists - absolutely everyone we met on our way tried to help us disinterestedly in a wide variety of situations)
I really want to return to Sri Lanka again, and if possible to the same hotel)
