How much does a solo holiday in Sri Lanka cost?
Maybe someone needs this information. I collected it as best I could))), since I myself was puzzled by this question before the trip.
So. My trip for THREE adults for 20 days.
Payment before departure:
Tickets from Minsk to Colombo (ak Etihad abu Dhabi) - 2 800 USD.
Visas - 35 * 3 - 105 dollars
Payment to the tour company in Sri Lanka (Infolanka) - 1105 dollars (the cost includes 5 nights accommodation in hotels with breakfast, payment for the guide, payment for the driver, payment for gasoline)
Insurance 8 * 3 = 24 dollars (optional, but considered necessary)
Booking a hotel in Mirissa (Mirissa Beach) - 470 USD (5 nights with breakfast)
Booking a hotel in Induruwa (Oasis Beach) - 1100 USD (7 nights with breakfast).

Total on the tour it took us = 599 dollars. for official entrance tickets.
Plus payment here and there for 100 rupees (flowers for temples, storage of shoes, bananas for elephants, elephant drivers)) - 50 dollars.
By nutrition:
In cafes, beer is from 200 (Mirissa) to 450 (Bentota) rupees. In shops - 170 rupees.
Approximately in addition to the cafe, it took 80 dollars for beer.
St-t bananas, mango - 100 rupees kg. average. In the center 100 rupees, in Bentota there were even bananas for 50 rupees, coconuts almost everywhere no more than 50 rupees.
In total, it took no more than 20 dollars for fruit.
Water was issued only at the Mirissa Beach Hotel. And so they bought mostly.

When we finally settled in Bentota, we bought 5 liters and poured them into small bottles.
It took no more than 20 dollars for water.
Because breakfasts in all hotels were included in the cost of living, then lunches and dinners were at our expense.
At lunch, we mostly lived on fruits, milk, muffins. I just really didn’t want to eat in the heat and left strength for dinner. And dinner is usually at 6-7 pm when it's getting dark))) T. about. at lunch, it was a maximum of 2.000 rupees (16 dollars) for three people.
20 days * 16 dollars = 320 dollars
Dinners wherever we were, practically came out to us at 50 dollars (+ -10). for three persons. The dinner usually included a second course, 2 bottles of beer, 3-4 bottles of cola, sometimes a dessert).
In Mirissa, on the beach in cafes - fish - 450-1000 (4-8 dollars) rupees a piece (depending on the type), 10 king prawns (1000 rupees = 8 dollars), lobsters (1000 rupees 1 piece = 8 dollars). - includes cooking, salad, garnish (rice or potatoes). Beer costs 200-250 ($2) rupees a bottle.
In Bentota, the price of raw shrimp on the market is 1200 (10 dollars) rupees 1 kg.
The cost of freshly squeezed juice from any fruit is 280 (Negombo) -350 (Bentota) rupees (2-3 dollars).
In total, it took us 50 dollars * 20 = 1000 dollars for dinner.
With souvenirs, as I expected before the trip, it will be a bummer. It seems to have been taught)))), but they still threw it))).
In short, as always and everywhere on excursions they take them to their shops, such as jewelry factories, mask factories, silk factories, etc. Maybe at least you won't fall for this bait. Here are examples of prices:

How upset I was when in Bentota everything of the same quality cost 2 times cheaper and you could still bargain 20 percent lower in ordinary shops.

Yes, about tea. Bought in Nuwara Eliya. 2 kg - 3500 rupees = 27 dollars
There was also a surfing school for my son. 2 hours - 4000 rupees - = 31 dollars
Board rental for 1 hour - 400 rupees ($3).

Well, that's almost all))). In stores, I paid with a bank card. Everywhere throughout Sri Lanka there are types of super markets. There is no need to bargain, but there is nothing special to buy. Continuous cookies))) But bank cards are accepted as payment without problems. it is also possible to pay by card for entrance tickets on excursions.
I am not writing anything in this review about my impressions of the trip, because. Of course, this can’t be described in words. I really liked it and as it turned out, I believed many negative reviews in vain. The country is gorgeous, after the trip such positive energy was gained from the people who live there....But that's for another review.
