We rested in the fall of 2012. The flight is easy on the Emirates - 5 hours 15 minutes + 4 hours with a transfer (without luggage) in Dubai. Rested for three hours. First, three days of excursions around Sri Lanka on a minibus with an excellent guide Matisha - transit hotels are also super as is the trip. Recommended to everyone, it's worth it. Have seen enough of the animals - you don’t need to go on a safari (they walk, run and climb everywhere). On the fourth day, tired, we arrived at the hotel, settled with an extra charge due to the lack of free rooms in the suite on the third floor above the path to the ocean, and stayed there until the end. Hotel-song!!! Sunbeds -always were, the ocean-"soft"-ride on the "long" waves. Boards for skiing were taken from local "service sellers" who hid from the heat in the bushes and did not even want to go out for money))) They have such a business - they are waiting for the banana (client) to fall on his head. It is cheaper to buy boards for the whole vacation at once at the hotel or across the road. The sandy beach is sloping without stones-super!!! Sunbeds on the grass in a small shade-all the same we were charred. . . We fed chipmunks and birds with nuts (from the room too). Good monitor lizards sometimes crawled, they DO NOT eat nuts! In the evenings, bats flew in the size and shape of a Pekingese dog with wings (the locals said so, flying dogs! ). An elephant lives on the territory - sometimes they rode. Jet skis on the river behind the hotel - ancient - neater. Sri Lankan rum is magical. The restaurant is the best in years for quality and variety. The staff is professional and VERY friendly to Russians. Vinzo is brought from the bar for a small fraction and very quickly))). The waiters are great, they were always there. True))) at 4 in the morning some kind of animal, similar to an anteater, knocked on the room (at first the three of us woke up at the same time, my daughter too) - then they got used to it, maybe lived in this room))) or someone fed it. We went on excursions after a couple of days of rest - on turtles and on a factory where gems are dug - informative. I recommend the hotel to everyone, together with Sri Lanka. We are going to go again, for the first time in all the years, the second time in the same WONDERFUL hotel! P. S. From Sri Lanka 40 minutes by small plane Maldives. The guide said there are excursions, today there, tomorrow back, we did not fly. Probably next time. . .
