We flew to Sri Lanka directly from the registry office and our honeymoon journey began!!
We got to the hotel on our own by ordering a taxi at the airport. The hotel is new, the taxi driver strayed in search of his whereabouts. After three hours of traffic jams and not a fast (by Moscow standards) drive, we arrived at the Amarit Hotel! We were greeted with smiles and a welcome cool mango juice. We settled in the largest room for the newlyweds and promised to feed (a compliment from the hotel). From the first minutes of our stay at the hotel, we felt calm and peaceful. The room is very spacious, light, comfortable! Large bed, comfortable sofas, two air conditioners, a comfortable closet, a stunning bathroom with a huge shower. And a terrace overlooking the river! Everywhere is clean: not a speck of dust, not a grain of sand! They took off their shoes at the entrance to the hotel lobby. The hostess of the hotel Natalya is Russian, there were no problems with communication. The food was very tasty. The food is always fresh: they go to the city for groceries twice a day. For dinner, we ordered a new dish each time: sailfish, cold cuts, a plate of seafood, squid, soups. Homemade breakfasts: omelettes, pasta with sausages, scrambled eggs, toast, butter, jam, tea, coffee, freshly squeezed juice (mango, papaya). Delicious and satisfying. We were taken to the beach for free on a motorboat at any time. One beach is civil, the second is wild (without a shower and toilet), but with picturesque stones, a beautiful Buddhist rock temple, and an almost complete absence of vacationers. At the hotel, we ordered a symbolic wedding ceremony: we were taken on a wedding boat and on a wedding elephant along the beach (a visiting card of Sri Lanka). I think you will get very beautiful photos against the backdrop of the setting sun! In the evening, they laid a table for us on the balcony, decorated everything with flowers, lit small candles around the perimeter. They gave me a bottle of wine and a plate, no tray (! ) of fruit!!
The five days spent at the hotel were fabulous. The atmosphere of romance and tranquility. The hotel is very suitable for a family vacation or honeymoon.

It was our honeymoon trip) The idea was my choice of the country, I had a rest in Sri Lanka more than once, but my wife was for the first time. I wanted to go to a small hotel, because we planned to stay together and without a party. At first they doubted about the hotel, because it was new and unknown, but my manager from the agency advised me very much, and I was ready to trust her, I have been contacting her for 3 years already.

I wanted to go to a small hotel, because we planned to stay together and without a party. At first they doubted about the hotel, because it was new and unknown, but my manager from the agency advised me very much, and I was ready to trust her, I have been contacting her for 3 years already. In general, we went and did not regret it.
Firstly, the hotel is designed specifically for couples, children do not go there, for adults the hotel. There are few rooms, only 5, but the building itself is large. Perhaps that is why there is no crush, a lot of space and light. It stands on the shore of the lagoon, the impression is cool! It seems like time has stopped. We stayed in a bridal suite. A very large room, not crammed with furniture, all sorts of dusty ottomans there. A huge bed, beautiful upholstered furniture, a comfortable closet, etc. In general, there is exactly as much furniture as you need. An excellent big shower, 10 or 12 meters, or maybe 15. The shower cabin is cool, with a remote control, radio, lighting and other things.
They fed great! Basically, there in hotels they give eggs in various forms and sausages, not counting, of course, bread, butter and jam. We were given excellent pastries, homemade yogurt, hot sandwiches with various fillings, buns with scrambled eggs and fried bacon inside, pancakes and great coffee. And good coffee is rare there, in Sri Lanka it is not very well prepared, it is very thin. We had dinner at the hotel several times, we had the main meal in the evening, because it was hot during the day. Once we even ate borscht with garlic donuts and barbecue. We didn’t miss the national food either, we ordered lobsters (this must be done in advance), a little expensive, of course, but tasty.
They looked at the country, but without fanaticism, they still wanted to be together, so they chose Bentota, by the way. There are very few people on all the beaches.
In general, the conclusion is this. For a honeymoon trip or just for a vacation together, or when you need to sort out the relationship, the hotel is very suitable. But once again I will say, the place itself (Bentota) and the hotel are NOT party-oriented. If you want to sit in a nightclub every evening, then you need to go to Hikkaduwa.
