Apsara dances. Cambodia
In Hindu mythology, Apsaras are beautiful demigods, heavenly dancers. Most of the sculptures in the ruins of the Angkor region depict these goddesses. Some sources say that it was from these moldings that the ancient dance was restored.
My opinion is that everyone who visits Cambodia is simply obliged to see the performance of Apsara dancers. We went to the first restaurant we came across in Siem Reap. It was Kulen Restaurant. Entrance ticket to the performance cost $12. The price included a buffet table presented by a huge variety of Khmer, Thai, European and other cuisines. You are unlikely to leave hungry. Drinks for a fee. In order to snatch seats at the stage, it is better to book tables a day in advance. The buffet starts at 18:30 and the performance starts at 19:30.
I liked the performance very much. The girls on the stage were in beautiful costumes, and the stage itself was made in the style of the Bayon temple.
According to legend, the Apsara goddesses wore a lot of gold and jewelry.
After the performance, all the dancers and dancers lined up, it was possible to approach them and take pictures. I really liked this girl, she smiled directly at the camera and happily took pictures with us.
