"Pleased" the meeting party Offered only individual tours. The cost of the cheapest is 250 euros to Lucca, where we went for 9 euros round trip together. Florence - 450 euros. We went by train for 26 euros there and back together. All this disgrace was compensated by a trip to Florence, walks through architectural monuments, etc. And that would be a total disappointment.
Yes, to get tax free, you have to try. Be careful. We were stamped, but the money was not immediately returned. They said they would put it on the card within a month. Returned after two.
Everything else was good : -)
Cons that spoiled the impression: tasteless dinners in the hotel restaurant - for a snack, corn, beans, boiled carrots, fish and meat are often served frankly disgustingly; good, but monotonous breakfast - hot - only scrambled eggs with bacon. I was surprised that if there is supposedly a private beach, it is impossible for a hotel guest to get under an umbrella located closer than 8-9 rows from the sea (the cost is -20 euros per day, regardless of two of you or one) - all places by the sea are booked for the whole season by locals residents and are not rented out.
The entertainment program on the terrace starts after 11 p. m. , when the whole of Europe is already finishing them. The sea is dirty.
1. Viareggio is located in close proximity to the airport of Pisa, so refuse to fly through Genoa, otherwise you will have a 3-hour bus ride and no tax-free points at the airport.
2. Do not buy the beach (no matter how the hotel employees advise) for the entire stay, as it turns out to be expensive (on average 200 euros for 10 days), and there is no guarantee that you will get there every day. There are many wonderful cities around that are worth visiting, of course, if a beach holiday is not your priority.
And finally! This is not my first visit to Italy! But it was in this city and in this hotel that I wanted to return again!
