Tour "Rome is always beautiful" (continued). Part 3. Way home.
Day eight. We leave at 8-00 from a hospitable Roman hotel. Our path lies through the Apennines to the Adriatic coast of Italy, to the region of Emilia Romagna, the resort town of Rimini. The road is not annoying, we cross the pass, there are picturesque landscapes around, the Adriatic Sea seemed ahead. On the outskirts of Ancona, we get into a traffic jam and “successfully” lose an hour of precious time. In the distance, in the mountains on the left side, medieval fortresses appeared, this is the goal of our trip - a small, but very freedom-loving country - the brightest republic of San Marino. On the way, our guide Raima sits next to us and we begin our ascent to the capital of one of the smallest states in Europe. There are only 32 thousand inhabitants in San Marino, but they all have a very solid social package guaranteed by the state, it is very difficult to become a citizen of this country, so the locals are “enviable” brides and grooms. Under Rayma's narration, we drive into the city and disembark at a specially equipped parking lot for tour transport. Speaking of transport, the country has public transport, only buses and a cable car. While our large group visits an institution that does not have historical value and prepare for the "storm" of the city, I pass through the nearby souvenir shops and "arm" with a magnet with a view of the city. I thought that the Russian speech in souvenir shops was an accident, but as it turned out, the owners specially hire Russians to work in the country's shops, incomes increased by a third. With Rayma, we begin the ascent under her interesting story, visit the sights and look into the shops along the way. The tour lasts a little over an hour. We thank the guide and we have about an hour of free time - very little - but there was a loss of time on the road due to traffic jams and adjustments were made by our slow-moving drivers. San Marino is a shopping paradise, but there is not much time. Unable to refuse, we buy our daughter a branded leather handbag, from a seller, originally from Murmansk, with good discounts we buy San Marino wine, amaretto as a keepsake, we replenish our home collection with a doll in the national dress of the fairest Republic of San Marino. Bargaining is appropriate in stores, do not be shy. Time goes fast. At 17-30 we leave towards Slovenia and at 23-30 we check into the Kozina hotel. Day nine. After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we are ready to continue our journey. Part of our group went on a Slovenian bus to visit the Postoynaya Yama, after which they were taken to see the sights of Ljubljana. Our path lies... again to Italy to see the pearl of the Adriatic - the romantic city of Venice. Three hours on the road. At 12-00 in the outskirts of Venice we sit down on a sea tram and the sea journey begins. About 25 minutes along the picturesque Venetian "roads" and we are at the pier near St. Mark's Square. Meet our guide Nada. The one-hour sightseeing walking tour of the city begins. Nada leads the tour in a crumpled tone of voice, moans “how expensive everything is with us”, an uncomfortable headset and an ancient audio guide design, they are very annoying. Having muffled the sound of the audio guide (do not turn it off so as not to get lost), we admire the beauties and do not forget to fix everything on the photo - video. From Piazza San Marco we slowly walk through the narrow streets to the Grand Canal. Gathering at Piazza San Marco, we sit down in a sea tram, and a 40-minute tour along the Grand Canal begins. We turn off the audio guide (where we will go from the submarine) and admire the views of Venice - fashionable hotels, palaces, beautiful churches, the central market, the railway station with gondolas parked at the side of the road, boats - sea trams, scavengers, ambulances. At the same time, “when leaving” for the bay of the same Mark, we examined the local slums - yes, Venice is a city of contrasts. We park on St. Mark's Square, part of the group is in a hurry to gondola riding, we have 1-15 free time. We walk along the streets of Venice, go into a workshop where Venetian masks are made right in front of your eyes, and buy the one you like. There is a long way ahead, we decide to refresh ourselves. A piece of burnt pizza in a pizzeria 15 euros. We buy advertising from one of the restaurants "menu in Russian", we go in. In principle, they don’t know Russian in the restaurant, there are errors in the menu and it’s impossible to get to know the dish in particular. We explain that we only have 30 minutes of free time and we need to eat quickly - quickly. We stop for grilled sea bass. We drink juices (daughters), beer (for me) and examine the interior of the restaurant. We notice compatriots by “language” wandering into the “menu in Russian”. They bring our one-pound sea bass, the amazing smell of a grilled dish decorated with fresh vegetables, the parade of waiters led by the chef, the serving, of course, everything makes an impression. But, there is no more time. We put a dish with a side dish in two thermal vessels, having previously removed the bones from the fish, apply disposable devices and pack them in branded bags. We pay by card and move to the meeting point of our group. At 17-30 we leave for Ljubljana, where most of the group is waiting for us. After Postojna they were taken to Ljubljana. Twelve people ordered a minibus through the driver of a Slovenian bus and they were taken to Lake Bled for 100 euros (not much for twelve people), where they devoted three hours to communicating with local beauties. Day ten. The hotel in the Hungarian Zalakaros was checked in very late. In the morning we looked around - a hotel in a small town (if not a village), outside the hotel across the road - a cornfield, the air - it's a pleasure to breathe. The territory of the hotel is well-groomed, a lot of greenery. The hotel has two buildings, interconnected by an underground tunnel, very convenient, especially in winter. The buildings have comfortable spacious elevators, without any problems directly to the pool. The hotel has several pools. Given the early departure, from 6-30 we are already in pools with mineral water with different temperatures. The fresh water pool extends outside the "fresh air" space. There are powerful jet massagers in the pool, 15 minutes and fatigue from a long journey is gone. And after the sauna, you don’t want to go to the pool with fresh water and leave the hotel. Impressions from the hotel are very positive. At 9-00 we leave for Budapest. Revisiting Budapest and wasting time in the Campona shopping center is completely pointless. There is nothing to look at, there is nothing to spend money on! And this is the opinion of almost the entire group. Wouldn't it be better to leave this time in favor of the baths in Egerszalok, which we, thanks to our drivers, did not have time to visit. Around 19-00 we are in Eger in the valley of beauties. Not all the beauties here are so, but it all depends on the amount of wine drunk. And there are plenty of wines here. We are met by the owner of a family business - a winery, the owner of the trademark "Kiss of Princess Eger". We choose a group place on the open terrace and start tasting fine wines and gouyash under the narration of the owner. Nearby there are many wine cellars of other farms, there is a general feast. In a nearby restaurant, tipsy Poles sang, from far away the voices of German tourists who have reached the standard are heard, to whom the entire local female population already seems to be beautiful - that's why this area is called the "Valley of Beauties". Wines were bought for the forints harvested during the visit to the baths in Egerszalok. I'll tell you the prices are not very low, but to bring forints to Ukraine? ! At about 23:00 we check into the Balneo Hotel in Mezokovesde. Day eleven. Morning, 6-30, with bath towels in the spa department. Two mineral water pools with different fixed temperatures. Fresh water pools with hydromassage. There is a sauna. No, unfortunately, not enough time, leaving soon. I will give advice - whoever wears silver jewelry, I recommend leaving it in the room. In the mineral water of the pool, silver becomes frankly black and retains this color for a long time (but some see a certain charm in this). We change clothes in a small niche with a curtain and get dressed for breakfast in the room. The restaurant is separated from the pools by a glass wall and there is an entrance to the restaurant straight from the pool. Meals in the restaurant - a buffet, quite rich and varied. There are cuts of meat, sausage, deli, cheese, drinks, dairy, desserts, fruits - citrus fruits, watermelons, melons, peaches - you can’t try everything. Having filled the plates, we examined a waiter modestly standing aside who, in front of you, will cook scrambled eggs with fillers of your choice - seafood, meat, sausages or all at once (we saw an indescribable case, it’s a pity there was no camera with me to capture the reaction of the waiter). After packing things in the luggage compartment of the bus, we leave towards Chop. Customs officers did not carry out a thorough inspection of suitcases, so they looked around. We crossed the border in three hours. Thus ended our journey to the eternal city. I thank all the tourists of flight 336 for the company, and you for your attention to my maybe too detailed story, but there is never too much information, I hope it will be useful to someone. Have a good rest and new interesting travels.
