The hotel is not bad, except for the disgusting feeding and, to put it mildly, unobtrusive staff. The hotel rooms are quite simple for a 4 *, although we were fine with it. It took a long time to choose between this hotel and the neighboring Villa Bianca, there were almost no reviews on the Internet, and travel agencies also could not really say anything. I liked their location, because they are located next to the funicular that rises to the coastal town of Taormina and its proximity to the beach (the hotel does not have its own). I must say the beaches there are mostly with stones, and the entrance to the water is difficult, especially for small children, but we found a small piece of sand where we could sunbathe. From the entertainment in the hotel there is almost nothing, sometimes only live music in the bar. Saved only by funicular trips to Taormina and gatherings in its many bars and cafes. We liked one place so much that we went there every day for lunch, we just sat down in this kitchen, probably because we ate all sorts of nasty things in the hotel, it seems to be called "At Nino's" next to the funicular station. They also entertained themselves with excursions to Palermo, Catania, Etna, and Messina. Taormina has an ancient amphitheater with beautiful views of the coast, where concerts still take place, and a small picturesque park. In general, the town is very pleasing to the eye, the Sicilians themselves are proud of it. From Taormina it was possible to climb to the town of Castelmolo, it rises above Taormina, that is, on the very top of the mountain, an amazing sight! In general, I liked everything, but we definitely advise you to travel more (although local buses are a separate story), even in any small town there is something to see and where to gain impressions, and be sure to take Italian with you. Phrasebook, Sicilians don't speak English at all. !
