We rested in this hotel with my husband for 2 weeks from 08/29/2018. to 12.09. 2018 I will not write much about Milano Marittima - a good town with a decent audience and a lot of pine trees. About the hotel:
1. Numbers. We booked a standard room "Classic". Since the hotel positions itself as a Premium class hotel, the price for a standard room is decent. I must say right away that the appearance of the rooms, even with a view, even without a view, is the same. When we entered the standard room in which they wanted to accommodate us (without a sea view), the view from the window shocked us. We did not expect that for a lot of money the view would be on the wall of another hotel, garbage cans and a backyard where someone is drilling something. We were upset and asked to change the room, but we were told that the other "Classic" rooms have an even worse view from the window. We did not want to spoil our holiday and asked for a surcharge to give us a room with a sea view. I will say right away the room with a sea view was beautiful and although the surcharge for 14 days was decent, it was worth it. In addition to the balcony door, there was a window in the bathroom and it was very pleasant to brush your teeth in the morning and look at the sea and the beach (not to mention sunbathing on a sunbed on the balcony or sitting on the balcony in the evening contemplating the sea with a bottle of wine). I also want to warn everyone, the hotel does not separate the price of rooms with a side view and a direct view of the sea (and the rooms with a side view face a small road for the delivery of tourists), so be specific when booking. And in order not to get into trouble, I recommend taking Classic, and paying extra on the spot and changing to a room with a sea view (from personal practice - in any country it always comes out cheaper than if you book at home right away, besides, you can always choose a room). In general, according to the numbers, the conclusion is this: a room with a sea view is worth its money, a room without a sea view is not worth its money, so if you can’t buy a sea view, look for another hotel, there are plenty of them nearby and no worse, and I think cheaper.
2. Nutrition. They took breakfast. Let me tell you, we had enough and enjoyed everything. Every day fresh juices, red fish, black caviar (yes, it is fine-grained, not sturgeon, but real, I suspect sterlet caviar) and fine-grained red caviar (real), champagne (who loves, I don’t), a lot of pastries. It is possible to feed a child who needs cereals and it will be difficult for an adult who is used to having breakfast with the first, second and compote too. But for people like me, breakfast was great.
3. Animation. In the evenings, the hotel had all sorts of entertainment (vocalist, pianist, magicians) not long and not intrusive. On the beach in the morning exercises (more for pensioners), in the afternoon aqua aerobics, around 17.00 dance aerobics (just super). Didn't expect it and was pleasantly surprised.
4. Beach. Gentle, clean, clear water. It takes a long time to walk to the depths, but it is ideal for children. The beach of our hotel is located a little to the left and you can take free beach towels on it (regardless of whether you use the beach from the hotel or go to another beach). The beach from our hotel is the most expensive (Premium position and it is with a jacuzzi) 1st line an umbrella and 2 sunbeds cost 26 euros, on neighboring beaches an umbrella and 2 sunbeds cost 20 euros (the same 1st line). Not the first in my opinion 15 euros. We took towels on our beach and went to beach number 293 (it's right next to our hotel). By the date of September 7, the 1st line already cost 18 euros, and by the 10th - 15 euros. If you do not want to pay for sun loungers on the beach, you can take towels from the pool and lie by the pool for free. We have a hotel on the first line to go swimming in the sea is not far away.
5. Auto and travel. The hotel has a Russian-speaking girl - Tatyana. Helps with all questions. Thank you Tatiana. Therefore, if you want to rent a car, please contact her or another manager, since there is a rental only in Cervia, there is no rental in Milano Marittima. I also want to warn you if you go somewhere by car, that is, nuance 1 - gas stations are open until approximately 22.00, but this does not mean that you cannot refuel at them, each gas station has a self-service machine (you type the necessary information, throw money), nuance 2 - there are no toilets on the autobahns, there are auto-grill exits for this.
6. Weather in September. Since this is the Adriatic, September is already considered "off season", since September 10, the streets are abruptly empty. We were lucky it rained once and then at night. The weather was fine, but, as we learned, this is a rarity. Locals say that last year it started raining on September 1st.
